Sound issue with NES toploader ><
Sound issue with NES toploader ><
Hey, it's me again, I made another post about this in my other thread but I assume people think that the problem is resolved since there have been previous posts. But anyways, my toploader doesn't produce any sound ><. I plugged the RF adapter into a VCR and...fine tune everything, the TV produces the image of the game...but there's no sound, instead its just static, like the sound of TV static. I have tested the system on other RF adapters (one of which my friend uses for his toploader and that produces sound for him but not for me), the problem MIGHT be the fact that the RF adapter I am using is a PAL one, and my toploader is NTSC (but my friends one is PAL), I am going to test it out on my NES though....if I can figure out how my friend got it working. Help me out here if you can fellas, by posting what the problem may be and how to resolve it (hopefully one of them won't require opening up the system and resoldering something ><). Cheers.

Re: Sound issue with NES toploader ><
does it have a/v like the original? i'm not to familiar with the toploaders
Re: Sound issue with NES toploader ><
Sadly, no *rage*, the toploader is a friggin awesome system....but it had to be ruined by not using AV....which is rather odd cause the Japanese one is AV. But yeah, no AV, only RF.
Re: Sound issue with NES toploader ><
troubleshoot it this way
use the working-established cord your friend has on his tv on your top loader
use the same cord on your tv
try his working nes on your tv with both cables
at this point, it could be your nes, the cord, your rf input, or you aren't getting good connections somewhere. Make sure all the ports are clean. This is mega-overlooked by lots of folks.
