The soundtrack has some great songs, but for as long as the game is, there needed to be way more; tracks were reused way to much.

The fault of the game, not the soundtrack.

Not to mention the fault of disk space I'm sure.

Not true at all. There's only 4 streamed tracks, 2 of which are in FMVs. The rest are sequenced. The sequenced music takes a total of 12MB. The few streamed tracks probably take no more than 20-30MB.

Perhaps it was a move to not stretch the composers too thin.

All this talk about the soundtrack made me pull out my Xenogears Creid CD, they really did a fantastic job on that CD.

That was one of the first game albums I downloaded when I first got internet at home. Still fantastic.

Wow. Thats actually pretty awesome, which leads me to another question. When you played the game did the music ever seem to lose its tempo when you were running around? The game did that to me every once and while, but I couldn't remember if that happend when I first played the game on PS1. I replayed it on my PS3, so maybe the emulator was the cause.

I have a very faint memory of it doing that during load points, but nowhere else., where its loading a new area while the screen becomes a still image that slowly zooms in and fades.
