NES Classic Mini getting a second production run
Re: NES Classic Mini getting a second production run
I'm not counting on it, but I wish they'd update the emulation core just a smidge. There's some audio lag with sound effects that really throws me off.
(No, I don't own the NES Classic, but I've hacked my SNES Classic to dual-boot.)

Re: NES Classic Mini getting a second production run
I just set a reminder on my phone for 11:50 at night on June 28th. Let’s see if this works out. Fingers crossed.
I don’t mind the short controller cords. I play vide games at my desk lately, so I don’t worry about controller cord length. If anything, I need more Velcro ties to tidy up my lengthy cords.

I managed to get one and like it a lot. I want to get a second controller and understand all the complaints about the short cable length, but I'm satisfied.
I also ordered a Famicom Mini Shonen Jump Edition. It looks to be exactly what you'd expect: a Famicom Mini with games based on Shonen Jump properties. I know most of the games are going to be "so so at best" but I'm excited to play it anyway!

At least you'll get the original Dragon Quest, not muddled by a new main character sprite (who even is that guy), and automatic direction selection for actions.Nemoide wrote:I know most of the games are going to be "so so at best" but I'm excited to play it anyway!

fyi, the second production has a slightly different box:

first one on the left; second production to the right.

Also the usb cable and ac adapter block are changed too. I’m sure this has the variant collectors turned on by it.
Re: NES Classic Mini getting a second production run
Well, I got one. Not sure why exactly as I really don't need it (I play NES games on plenty other devices, including original hardware). Just wanted to try out the hacking potential, I guess (which I failed miserably at besides adding some more NES games).
Thinking I may give it to a family member eventually.
Anyone else witness to the audio lag in gameplay? That turned me off a bit.
Not a bad little system otherwise. I'm glad it saw the Summer re-release.
