Re: Switch Discussion Thread
Oooooh neat and I'm instantly inspired by the pop up of it too coming in red. It reminds me of my neo geo cabinet, and it's the neo-geo go to console these days with so many of them on there. The only thing it really lacks is a joystick setup of some sort, even a mounting frame for a detached set of joycons.

I agree about the joysticks. There is one that handles that but it's carboard instead of wood. Surely someone will perfect this.

That was what I was thinking of too, but cardboard is entirely unacceptable. I'm not wasting $20 on some precut box pieces that'll deteriorate quickly compared to some real wood like the first.

Re: Switch Discussion Thread
So the way I have my arcade sticks working on the switch is a bit backwards but it works - 8bitdo adapter, wiimote, Wii arcade stick. But it works perfectly from that - I won a game of Rocket League against medium bots on my TTT2U stick. Sadly the NES and SNES classic controllers have the issue of being like cheap Wii sticks where they just grounded out the joysticks as LEFT so using them outside of a game can be painful - it was unusable on the Wii but I only had it happen to me on the Menu for Cave Story. Eventually someone will make a wired Classic Controller interface for the Switch (likely around when Smash drops), and we can all make tiny arcade cabinets that are awesome and use real components. Im thinking head to head cab like the Vs Tent or a Sega Vs City, setup for Arms.

Re: Switch Discussion Thread
If I get an arcade stick for the Switch, I'd get the 8bitdo one:

Does anyone have this one? I like the way it looks, and supposedly it's easy to mod. I'm in no rush right now though.
On the arcade front, I'm actually more looking forward to getting the Flip Grip in hand. Plus, Hori is making a Joycon with an actual d-pad:

That arcade stick is just a reused mold for the Mayflash one I have. Everything aside from color is the exact same thing. It's a pretty decent stick for the price and yes you can change out the buttons rather easily. I switched all mine out for my mayflash for Sanwa.

Re: Switch Discussion Thread
Id swap out the stick as quick as possilbe, the buttons are decent enough for casual play. The stick is worse than the one in the Hori Wii stick.
