Re: Switch Discussion Thread
alright, so the Switch revisited update is as follows: I did pick another one up along with Puyo Puyo Tetris - the classic. And I still had Sonic Mania tied to my account, and downloaded Fortnite for the heck of it. I changed my pre-order of Shining Resonance from Xbox to Switch, and ordered a Pro controller to go along with it.
Re: Switch Discussion Thread
Looks like you're on board, then some.
And Ikaruga, that game is a nightmare but a fun one. I've kept it for GC all these years and use that external HDMI adapter for it now so kind of conflicted. As digital it has little value, but I have to admit if it were tangible I'd probably strongly consider picking it up as I'd feel more engaged to commit some time to it instead of blowing by it on the menu. That game is great, and people are still pecking at the developer to toss Radiant Silvergun out there given it is doing solidly well it appears. That would be a nice one for certain.

Radiant Silvergun would be great. I've never played it and don't own a copy (unlike Ikaruga, which I've had on the Dreamcast for years and years).
When they announced Ikaruga, I said they should do a physical double pack with both games. That would be sweet.

Re: Switch Discussion Thread
I like the idea of them kind of putting all these indie game characters together. I feel like there's so much opportunity there to do stuff like a Smash Bros style game or kart racer, etc. with a cast of indie game heroes.
Re: Switch Discussion Thread
Looks like a strange but somewhat familiar puzzle game I recall having on the Super Famicom in the later 90s, but hey it does have Astro Boy (Tetsuwan Atom) so that's a huge plus.
And I do agree the double pack idea of Ikaruga and Radiant Silvergun would be a very very tempting buy. I should hopefully have Ys 8 tomorrow which is nice.

Re: Switch Discussion Thread
oh so I had pre-ordered that Street Fighter collection on Xbox One and hadn't opened it yet, so I decided to exchange it for the Switch version. It's funny but I'm finding that I'm more likely to play retro stuff on a portable for whatever reason.
Re: Switch Discussion Thread
Not funny, practical.
I feel the same way, the not being anchored to a TV really helps maximize the comfort and fun tied to it playing on the Switch. I still have notably more time off TV play than on using it and no regrets with that at all.
I had so much to do today which sucks, I got Ys8 for Switch and only been able to unwrap it to find a pack of sealed up cards and a folded up poster/map combo along with the game which is nice to see. Would have been slick had they done a manual like Nicalis does on their releases.
