Truth.

I think folks have to understand that the point of the violence is to illicit the horrified response. It's intention is to shock... to make you aware of the brutality of humanity and what we are capable of.

Should we censor films like schindler's list or saving private ryan because it is too violent? They are far more realistic and put the viewer in the moment. This game is attempting to exemplify those same sorts of qualities in a fictional scenario. It is meant to horrify you in a far more real way than any other horror game.
We shouldn't censor, but we should also realize that people have the right to feel distaste or unease with representations of violence in media and can also choose to criticize or avoid such media if they so desire.

I have the Wii U Smash and bought the DLC. I later decided on the 3DS version but it won’t be complete since I never bought the DLC via discounted price where it was significantly cheaper if you buy for both versions.

Can we all just agree that this gen is even better than last? 2019 looks like another repeat 2017. I will need to open up a second or third savings account soon for the 50 games I want.

Nope. 7th gen is the best hand down.

That’s a subjectively objective statement.

I guess a Nintendo rep stated in an interview after that Metroid Prime 4 just wasn't really close enough to a finished product to be worth showing off, and that they were focusing more on stuff coming out very soon this year as opposed to farther off prospects like that like they did last year. That would also explain why the untitled Good-Feel Yoshi game wasn't there at all, as that's had its release date pushed back to 2019 (like earlier today, I think).

In 2-3 years when the next systems drop, we shall compare notes again then. 8)

I think my PS4 collection is about to overtake my PS3's library and not slow down for awhile. Granted I have like 80 360 games and I bought half of them over again on Steam so I got tons of mileage out of the 7th gen for sure. It was the longest gen ever and looks like that ~8-10 year cycle might be the norm going forward.

Dang, guess I'm not really surprised. Wasn't expecting it to drop any time soon.

I’ll mark it on my calendar

In terms of new ideas, fresh games and the like I feel 7th Gen is much stronger for consoles. Add in the PSP and DS (while adding in the successors to those portables) and the gap widens significantly.

This is of course an entire topic for another day

Oh I totally understand. I am not saying people need to watch it or need to play it. If it isn't your thing, it isn't your thing.

Yeah, I don't see this being Sarge's thing. But it's cool, there are tons more games for all of us to play. As I said earlier in this thread...

Sorry if it was mentioned earlier, but I just read that it is mostly (all?) going to be in FIRST PERSON...
https://kotaku.com/cyberpunk-2077-is-a- ... 1826775323

As someone who didn't like any of the three Witcher games and especially their combat... (I know I'm in the minority here, hey I gave Wticher 3 about 30 hours worth!)

But loves the new Fallout's, Deus Ex, Borderlands, etc...

Consider me extremely excited for Cyberpunk 2077 now.
