E3 2018 Discussion
Re: E3 2018 Discussion
I'm not crazy about the few things I've seen so far. Hoping Nintendo brings it tomorrow.

There was a second RE2R trailer later on and I just heard from Easy Allies, it's confirmed to have options for BOTH fixed or over the shoulder camera control.

EDIT: Second trailer:
Is it for real? I still cannot believe it.Resident Evil 2 offers a fresh take on the classic survival horror saga with breathtakingly realistic visuals, heart-poundingly immersive audio, a new over-the-shoulder camera, and modernized controls on top of gameplay modes from the original game

There's been a lot of neat stuff, but other than the Mario X Rabbids DLC we've already known was coming or something silly and very Japanese like Metal Wolf Chaos DX, there really haven't been many games I'd actually like to play myself. Most of them fall under a more, "gosh, that's neat, I'll have to watch some video of it sometime" label for me.

If true, then fixed camera turns this from meh to must buy.Xeogred wrote:There was a second RE2R trailer later on and I just heard from Easy Allies, it's confirmed to have options for BOTH fixed or over the shoulder camera control.

Re: E3 2018 Discussion
I am thoroughly excited for everything presented at e3. We have a good mixture of games that focus on gameplay and games that focus on storytelling as well as games that focus on realism versus games that focus on unique art styles and visuals.
The new Forza Horizon looks like a dream for driving game fans, Jump Force looks like a dream for anime fans, Ghost of Tsushima looks like a dream for folks who love intimate combat and a painterly visual style. Death Stranding looks like a dream for... well... It just looks like a dream. Resident evil 2 looks like a dream for resident evil fans. Devil may cry 5 looks like a dream for the combo-heavy action fans.
Every year continues to rest at the top of providing awesome experiences for everyone.
I feel like folks put on an even more critical hat on during e3. Most reaction streams from the major media sources are filled with snarky cynicism at every turn and fans do the same, looking for reasons to be upset. The current punching bag is resident evil 2 remake because the faces don't look like the original characters or some nonsense.
Am I crazy for looking at the conferences and seeing what was shown and saying, "Awesome!" even for games on systems I do not own?

This reflects my sentiments so far too. Death Stranding looks way more interesting than any Metal Gear game...BogusMeatFactory wrote:I am thoroughly excited for everything presented at e3. Re: E3 2018 Discussion
The first thing I watched from this E3 was Naughty Dog's The Last of Us 2 trailer. It went from Ellie sucking on some girl's lips to her slitting a guys throat and then someone else disemboweling a torture victim, guts dangling like an intestinal wind-chime. All of this in extremely detailed realism. That was enough E3 for me for one day. The best news I read about was the Metal Wolf Chaos PC port, legit excited for that.Sarge wrote:I'm not crazy about the few things I've seen so far. Hoping Nintendo brings it tomorrow.

You have to check out From's new game, man. Dark Souls and Bionic Commando having a baby seems like something right up your alley.Exhuminator wrote: The first thing I watched from this E3 was Naughty Dog's The Last of Us 2 trailer.
