Dang Sarge, I thought I said "sorry I probably won't participate much this TR"... here I am at 7 games beaten so far. lol, guess I didn't consider arcade emulation until the last minute.

Time for Undercover Cops!
Feelings hurt everywhere Xeo, Golden Axe 1 has AMAZING music and sound fx.
I heard Rastan went Beat'em up on its third game and from what i've seen is freaking amazing, i hope Mame emulates it well.
I'm hoping to beat Double Dragon 1 on SMS.
I was talking about Revenge of Death Adder with the bad music.

My son and I beat Ninja Gaiden (ARC) today in co-op. It really isn’t that great of a game, but he loved it. (As I have heard about a million times today, he is the one who took out almost all of the bosses.) We fed credits like crazy - if we had been playing in an actual arcade, beating the game likely would have cost us $25 - but I still picked up a few strategies for when (if?) I ever play it again.

Two more beat before some more E3...

Undercover Cops - As mentioned earlier I checked out the SNES version a few times last year but never got through all of it. Something about it seemed off, a bit sluggish and slow control wise, along with some annoying enemy types. Killer OST! The arcade version is faster and was easy to breeze through but it still seems evident this was clearly not Irem's specialty. Cool playable characters, great music, and their signature R-Type/Metal Slug art style comes through, but it was a bit more style over substance overall and not the best. Worth a look though.

X-Men (1992) - This was awesome. Konami! Feels like it's probably on the TMNT engine or something similar, so it plays a lot like those if you dig them. I love how you can beat the crap out of enemies on the ground in this. It was easy to trap a lot of bosses and repeatedly wail on them as they stood up too. I played the 4 player version, not sure if there's any major differences between them all though (there's also 2 player and 6 player versions). I remember playing the arcade once or twice as a kid but never really saw it ever again, so this was a cool one that eluded me for years.

It's got the hilarious Magneto voice acting and lines like "Welcome to die!", "I'm Magneto! Master of MAGNET!"

Captain America and The Avengers also has some of this goofiness. Right off the bat, some goons rob a bank, and the following exchange occurs:

Goons: "Don't disturb us!"
Player: "Why should it goes well?"

Priceless. Truly, a work for the ages.

Oh man ,awesome game. I got to play it at Fun Spot a couple of years ago with my wife. I really love how they nailed the visuals.

Is Ninja Gaiden arcade a different thing than the NES game?

I think I want to finally hit up Double Dragon soon too. Sounds like the ranking of those is a little mixed but I think I kind of want to hit up all the arcade ones.

It is a completely different beast. It feels really clunky and awkward the way a number of other games did from that era. Devs were still trying to figure out good up-close combat then.

I can't recommend them enough, 1 and 2 are godlike and 3 isn't all that bad, i was expecting far worse.
