I credit-fed Undercover Cops yesterday and unfortunately i did not enjoy it at all, the graphics are good but everything else is bland and uninspired.
When it comes to Beat'em Ups i care a little too much about the setting of the game, fantasy and "reality" are my favorites by far, while the fantasy tone by itself evokes that sense of raw wonder and far away land, i like to think that games set in real world could be something that happens at the heat of the night at the city or something.
Having said that, maybe this is why my 2 favoutire beat'em-ups games are Golden Axe and Streets of Rage on the Mega Drive/Genesis.

The last boss and his stick of power :|

The game takes place in a post-apocalyptic world and you are one the three street-sweeper that have to stop this mad scientist from destroying what is left of the world.
The graphics are ok with lots of particles but everything else is over too simplistic and it is almost impossible to play without credit feeeding, wich is the most anoying thing to me.
Oh nice, I discovered Undercover Cops last year from some VGM podcasts... the OST's are amazing. I played the SNES version two or three times casually last year but got burned out eventually so I never finished it, seemed a bit long and drawn out. Maybe the arcade version is smoother and faster, I'll have to check it out.

If you guys want a real easy romp... check out Battletoads arcade. Yes it's EASY! And I don't just mean with the ability to credit feed, it just really seems pretty easy in general compared to the rest of the series. Gory and awesome too.

I don't know, it just feels a little different from the original arcade game, which is the one I prefer. I also think Hyperstone Heist is fantastic, and more should try out that game, too.
The SNES port is still amazing. I mean, Streets of Rage 2 is my favorite in the genre, but number two would probably be Turtles in Time.

Throwing enemies at the screen is one of my favorite aspects in gaming.

No interest in an Xbox One. :P

I just beat The Punisher... it was okay, but I liked Captain Commando and Cadlilacs and Dinosaurs a lot more. The sound/music wasn't very impressive either. Not a bad 30 some minute romp though.

I have Rare Replay so that's another good option.

Just so folks know, Ex ain't kidding about the difficulty of Urban Reign. Oof. Still tough. I'm playing a bit along the way as well as a sort of show of solidarity. :P

I assume you're playing it on Normal?

At any rate one of us has to beat it man. I can't imagine God Hand being harder than this. I'm looking forward to finding out later this month.

I assume that's what I started it on. Pretty sure; I don't start my games on Easy. I'm not a masochist that starts them on Hard, either, though.

UR's kind of weird because it doesn't let you select the difficulty when you start a new game. You have to go into the options of your profile and set it there. I can't remember what it defaults to initially.
