I remember being able to get wireless controllers for the Megadrive and the SNES back in the day, however they used infrared technology were known to be laggy and unresponsive, the controllers were cheap and flimsy and if anybody or anything was in the way of you and the receiver it would stop working.

In short they aren't worth bothering with to be honest.

There were wireless controllers for the Atari 2600. Huge beasts, the base of the joystick is about twice as thick as the original, with a thick black antenna protruding from it. Not very useful really.

Naki makes a good wireless controller for the Saturn.

messiah makes wireless controllers for the snes and nes. I have the snes ones and like em. They are great except for the fact that the start and select buttons aren't really buttons but touch pads. However- they are lag free.
