If memory serves, Technos wasn't even involved in the development of Double Dragon III for arcade. It was, though, for NES, which explains the quality gap.

My son and I just credit feed and beat Cadillacs and Dinosaurs on the MAME cab this afternoon. It was fun, nothing special but a fun time with my boy.

I currently use Nestopia. I think Nestopia Undead Edition is the one that's been maintained recently. There may be more accurate ones out there, but I've never really needed to switch from it. (It is more accurate than most, though.)

So I just went through Double Dragon II (arcade) twice. Yes, twice. First time was on XBOX, and I kept wondering, why is this game performing even worse than the first game? I was fully prepared to rip it a new one. But I decided to make sure it wasn't something emulation related, and it apparently was. On my PC, it worked well, and while there's still slowdown, it handles it much better than the first game. I vaguely remember something about there being some encryption in the games that made early emulation of them very slow? Either way, the second run probably took half the time just because of the speed up, and it felt much better, to boot. It's not as iconic as the first game, but it still ends up being pretty fun by way of sharing that engine. 7.5/10.

I've made it to mission 67 out of 100 in Urban Reign. This game is insane. I love it. I hate it.
PLAY KING'S FIELD.

Last night i went through Double Dragon on my Mega Drive and by far is the best version of it that i've played, surpassing even the arcade!
The most striking aspect of it is how fast the game is now, the graphics feels fresh and true to the source and the music is very good for a Genesis game too.
I heard the GBA remaster is great too and i think i'm visiting it before Double Dragon Neon and IV.

It is great! I thought it was very fun.

Has anyone else played the iOS Double Dragon? I thought it was a port of the Zeebo game, but it's apparently different (and more of a half remake/half homage). The iOS DD was decent enough for a touch screen game on your phone, but the quality isn't there with the animations and character (re)designs.
