My mind is blown by the fact that you can totally ignore all the 3 recruits and play the game only as Zangetsu!
I beat the second "part" of the game and there's still soo much to do!
Bloodstained: Ritual Of The Night ("new Castlevania")
Re: Bloodstained: Ritual Of The Night ("new Castlevania")
Do we not have a dedicated thread for Curse of the Moon?

Maybe I don't know how to use him but I find alfred literally useless. If I'm left with only him on a life, I just end it. I've only made one run though, so maybe I just don't know what he's good for yet.

He is useful to open certain path and can be used as a caster for others, some of his magic are really effective against some bosses.stickem wrote:Maybe I don't know how to use him but I find alfred literally useless. Yeah, he's good on some bosses (homing magic is nice), and also in a few stage segments if you have the flame shield. Otherwise, he is terrible.
Also, use him for a quick kill on the paintings if you have ice.

His ice power is a one hit KO on every non-boss, which is great in some areas. His duplicate power is pretty useless, though.

So I didn't kickstart this and will be buying Curse of the Moon separately.
Which version should I get - Steam or 3DS?

Played on OG 3DS and there's this annoying effect that happens whenever the screen is rolling, like some kind of ghosting, but other than that is an amazing job but do not expect any of the 3DS native features such touch or 3d ok?SpaceBooger wrote:So I didn't kickstart this and will be buying Curse of the Moon separately.

Go with Steam on this one is my vote.
Re: Bloodstained: Ritual Of The Night ("new Castlevania")
I got the Steam version. I'm playing with an iBuffalo controller and it feels pretty good. Right at home.

Oh, I somehow forgot about this, but if anyone wants another Castlevania-adjacent game that costs absolutely nothing, give Curse of Issyos a try.
