A reminder that this is going to end at 11:36 AM Central Time tomorrow. It's going to be a surprise to me which category wins, as I should be flying into Boston during that time.

Either way it goes I'm game...unless it switches to pre-halo FPS. Though that would mean more time for me to focus on my anime culture class if it swings that way

Kind of surprised by beat em' ups pulling the lead right now... seems like a genre with the least amount of options?

I'm rooting for 8-bit platformers at this point. Beat-'em-ups have plenty of options, though, especially if you hit up MAME.

I wouldn't say that, especially if you just happen to have games that can be patched. Japan seemed to love the genre more than we did sometimes back on the snes. Heck I'm probably going to work in Bouncer. Not a game I see a lot of people talking about and I keep meaning to play it through fully. I have a few others if I really dig through my collection...

Cool. I am 100% happy with beat 'em ups. I'll welcome some simple arcadey fun as a palate cleanser after all this hardcore dungeon crawling.

Heck yeah man! I'm about currently marathoning the new Cobra Kai series (which is pretty excellent IMO and FWIW), so beat 'em ups sound like the perfect accompaniment! I'm looking forward to June!

Hm, can't say I'm too excited about beat em ups. I can't remember all the ones I've tried, but I don't think I've been able to beat a single one. I either get bored of the repetition, or there's a point with super insanely difficult enemies/boss that I can't get pass so I give up.

So coming up with something to play might be a challenge, but I'll see what I can find...
