I pre-ordered Shenmue off Amazon US PS4 a few days ago.

I just preordered them both. $23.99 with GCU is wonderful. PS4 is legitimately wonderful with all of these remastered games I have on it. Shadow of the Colossus, Crash, Yakuza Kiwami, Okami, and now Shenmue and Spyro!

Hey folks. Can't figure the right place to post this where it might be seen, so, here's a wild Swallow Flip in the dark.

One of my best friends bought Shenmue 1 & 2 bundled on PS4 a few days ago. I was able to watch, laugh, and cheer my way through her entire runthrough of the first game via Share Play. It was so much fun.

But now we're trying to move on to Shenmue 2 together, and when I attempt to join her Share Play session, I get an error message saying that I can't view a game that "has not been released in my region."

There are other people on the internet who have complained about this, but I haven't seen any answers. I tweeted at Sega and Playstation, hoping there's a fix for this, but... truly strange.

Anyone have experience with this? Thanks, all.

Sorry to hear, Key. I'd never even heard about the Share Play feature before. It looks like it may have been the case, in the past at least, that Share Play could be disabled by developers, and it would give error messages similar to what you're seeing. That could be unrelated to your issue, though, since it seems unlikely that it could be allowed for Chapter 1, but not for Shenmue II.

Is the firmware up to date on both consoles? That's about all I've got--.
