Re: Games Acquired 2018
Didn't really pick up much that much this month (didn't have much time/energy to play much anyway), but I did pick up a few Gust games since I noticed that they are starting to go out of print. Gust games rarely get to be super cheap, so I wanted to pick them up while I still could. Also I just love Atelier so I know I'll play them sooner rather than later haha.
3DS
Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions (a gift!)
PS3
Atelier Shallie
PS4
Atelier Sophie

Re: Games Acquired 2018
March update - a little pricier this month due to the closure of Virtual Console...
Previous months:
March:
Ufouria: The Saga NES - £60.41
Gley Lancer Wii VC - £6.30
Alien Soldier Wii VC - £5.60
MUSHA Wii VC -£6.30
Ogre Battle: March of the Black Queen Wii VC - £6.30
Super Adventure Island II Wii VC - £5.60
Castlevania: The Adventure Rebirth WiiWare - £7
Contra Rebirth WiiWare - £7
Excitebike World Challenge WiiWare - £7
Hydroventure WiiWare - £8.40
Detective Pikachu Amiibo - £19.99
Total: 10 games, 1 amiibo - £139.90
Ufouria was the VC purchase I decided to pick up in physical form this month. It's a bit pricy but it's one I'm super happy to actually own.
Most of the other purchases were Wii Shop purchases ahead of the service shutting down the ability to add money. I actually have about 2000 points still to spend at some point too. The VC games were expensive games to buy physically and the Wiiware games are currently exclusives.
I got the Detective Pikachu amiibo because I think it looks awesome. I plan to pick up the game too, eventually, but that's likely further down the line for now.

Re: Games Acquired 2018
There are actually 2 PAL regions for NES as well - PAL A and PAL B. The PAL A copy of Ufouria I picked up is generally a bit pricier than PAL B as it got a much more limited release.BoneSnapDeez wrote:^ I was thinking of picking up the Japanese Hebereke but it looks like the PAL release is cheaper than I anticipated.

I'm liking your VC pick ups too - some of those I already have myself on VC or on cartridge. If you're willing to play PAL versions, the European copy of Shadow of the Ninja (renamed Blue Shadow) is actually a cheap game here
You'll have to let me know how Legend of Hero Tonma is - I eyed that one up a bit and I still have Wii points to spend.
Ninja Gaiden 2 and 3 aren't on PAL VC for some dumb reason, or I might have picked them up. Neither is Princess Tomato in the Salad Kingdom, which I had fully intended to buy as the physical cartridge is pricy

Re: Games Acquired 2018
Legend of Hero Tonma I grabbed because I saw card-only eBay listing for like $500?! Haven't played much yet.
I should clarify that the Ninja Gaiden I got was actually the arcade game. It isn't great...

Re: Games Acquired 2018
Whoops I totally forgot that I also picked up some games for the Virtual Console (and one WiiWare game). I didn't pick up much since I'm fine with just emulating things on my PC (also I didn't have much money to put into it anyway), but I did pick up some Wii N64 exclusives. Plus I picked up Muscle March because... why not?
WiiWare
Muscle March
Wii Virtual Console
Bomberman Hero
Cruis'n USA
Pokemon Puzzle League
Super Smash Bros.
I still have some Wii Points left (1400 I think?) so I'll have to figure out what to do with those at some point.

Re: Games Acquired 2018
I don't think I've ever downloaded a single N64 game on the VC. Wonder how the controls are.
