-Mario 64 sucked. Terrible controls and the camera makes it unplayable. Same for Donkey Kong 64.
-Yoshi's Island also sucked.
-Castlevania II is the best NES Castlevania.
-Link to the Past was the last good Zelda game.
-The WiiU was a good system. The Dreamcast and Saturn however, were not.
-Anything pre-NES isn't retro, it's antiquated crap. And before someone says I'm too young to appreciate it, I'm 36.
-The Halo games are terrible.
-The Metroid series is by far and away the best series Nintendo does (we'll just forget Other M exists for the purposes of this discussion).
-The Gran Tourismo games are absolute crap.
-RPGs in general are boring as hell.
I'll probably think of some more later.
I encourage you to take a minute, rethink your words and dedicate some more time into explaining why simply beyond, "It sucks." I'm going to take the heat off of everyone else for a second: I don't like Candy Crush. Anyone feel like asking me how it is out here on the edge?

Candy Crush ad pretty much all those pay to win model games are poo poo anyway
. Also, hasn't Bogus always been like this? He's been that way to me since the day I joined. Meh, whatever.
Now as for an actual unpopular opinion. I prefer digital triggers to analog triggers.

In general, I agree, also I do prefer analog triggers for racing games.Segata wrote:I prefer digital triggers to analog triggers.

Analog triggers have pretty niche uses, so in general, a digital trigger is better. Not sure that's an unpopular opinion, though. Stop polluting our unpopular opinions with your popular one, you hipster!
Re: Do You Have Any Unpopular Gaming Opinions?
Analog triggers fall more into the "better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it" sort of thing to me. More often than not, it comes down more to implementation. The worst being the ol' DirectInput to XInput "that's not a button that's a joystick axis" issue. On the other hand, a combination of approaches might work better - combine the better haptics Nintendo is using with the Xbox One controller's approach (it literally has rumble motors in the analog triggers) and you could likely have an analog button that "clicks" like a digital one if that's what suits the game.

The analog triggers on the GameCube controller are sublime for racing games.isiolia wrote:Analog triggers fall more into the "better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it" sort of thing to me. Digital triggers are basically just another button. Might as well be a face button.

Re: Do You Have Any Unpopular Gaming Opinions?
Unpopular classic WRPG opinions.
- With the exception of the Ultima games, most WRPGs are better on consoles than in their original computer format.
- Interplay is underrated. The Bard's Tale and Dragon Wars are two of the best first-person dungeon-crawlers.
- Wizardry IV blows.
- Might and Magic is twenty hours longer than it needs to be. Same goes for the sequels.
- The good Ultima games are III, IV, V, VI, and VIII. VII is way too bloated. Being able to "do anything" gets old fast.
- Western roguelikes are mostly kinda shitty. The Japanese did this genre better.
- Diablo is really fun for like three hours.
- Betrayal at Krondor is the best WRPG ever. The sequel: ass.
- Dragonstomper is severely underrated.

I'd say shoulder buttons are actually far better off being shoulder buttons because then you can press them with something other than your thumb. If all shoulder buttons were better off being face buttons, then you end up with something like the Jaguar controllersamsonlonghair wrote:The analog triggers on the GameCube controller are sublime for racing games.isiolia wrote:Analog triggers fall more into the "better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it" sort of thing to me.
