saturn emulator help

Post by weasels »

So I need to know which saturn emulator plays the best and what patches you use to get it working. I am seasoned in emulating but saturn is about the only classic console I haven't gotten any games to work. I realize that many will say "get a mod chip" well to save time i will explain that i do not have to money to get a mod chip at the moment. I'm saving up for an ARMAX for the ps2 so I can softmod it (yes I realize its not much also in the first place, just really low on money right now). really the only games i absolutely want to play on it is panzer dragoon saga and shining force. thanks in advanced for the help if any.

sorry mozgus i didnt mean to put up page that was unnecessary. but i have one problem maybe somebody can help me with. i got 3 games two were iso and the other was mdf/mds. for some reason the iso's arn't working while mds/mdf is. i used deamon tools and then alcohol 120% and got the same results. should i just search for roms of that file type and avoid iso's or am i doing anything wrong (yes im using the correct BIO's). or is their a program that can convert from iso to mdf/mds? sorry agian.

I would guess the ISOs might have the sector size set. And that's just a shot in the dark really. I have ISOs that worked fine.

You could just mount the ISO's and rip them as MDF images. But it sounds mroe like maybe the ISO's are bad. Why don't you re-rip (if that's how you got them) them or try downloading them from another source.

i thought that it was bad iso's too but it seems not to be the case as i re downloaded some from different sites and got the same thing. im gonna look into ripping them as MDF although i have no clue how but ill find out through google most likely.

Well MDF is the Alcohol format, right? So mount the ISO with Daemon and then just pretend its a normal disc and rip it in Alcohol.
