Re: Together Retro: Final Fantasy Spin-Offs
There is one KH game I've considered (still consider) playing:
Mainly just for what it pulls off graphically on its platform.
PLAY KING'S FIELD.

I don't understand the subtitles of KH games. Are there ultimately more than just the two games in various forms?

According to Wikipedia, there are seven titles, and then a bunch of rereleases and compilations.

Wow I had no idea. I thought they were all rereleases. Shows my interest level I guess haha.

How could you get confused with titles like these?noiseredux wrote:Wow I had no idea. I thought they were all rereleases. Shows my interest level I guess haha.
Kingdom Hearts 258/2 Days
Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories
Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance
Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix
Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix
Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue
Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep Final Mix
Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth By Sleep - A Fragmentary Passage
Kingdom Hearts χ Back Cover
Clearly, the order in which these games should be played is clear and obvious, and which games are mainline entries in the series and which are spin-offs is equally obvious.
Of course, they made it easy to follow at the time by releasing different entries in the series respectively on the PS2, GBA, PSP, DS, 3DS, various mobile phones and modern consoles. Obviously everyone has access to all of those systems who is into the series, so they would definitely have played every entry,

Re: Together Retro: Final Fantasy Spin-Offs
you actually reminded me - I feel like back in the day I remember some box set that contained two PS2 entries, and a GBA entry, which seemed super weird to me to see Sony games bundled with a Nintendo game.alienjesus wrote:Of course, they made it easy to follow at the time by releasing different entries in the series respectively on the PS2, GBA, PSP, DS, 3DS, various mobile phones and modern consoles.
Am I making this memory up?

Re: Together Retro: Final Fantasy Spin-Offs
Maybe? It's possible it wasn't actually the GBA game though. The GBA game was called Chain of Memories, but they actually did a PS2 remake of it called Re: Chain of Memories, so it's possible that's what confused you?noiseredux wrote:you actually reminded me - I feel like back in the day I remember some box set that contained two PS2 entries, and a GBA entry, which seemed super weird to me to see Sony games bundled with a Nintendo game.alienjesus wrote:Of course, they made it easy to follow at the time by releasing different entries in the series respectively on the PS2, GBA, PSP, DS, 3DS, various mobile phones and modern consoles.

Then again, this series is weird, so I wouldn't be surprised if a special edition collection fo the first 3 games was available somewhere.

Re: Together Retro: Final Fantasy Spin-Offs
no, no - in my mind I feel like it was a box that I remember literally seeing PS2 games AND a GBA cartridge in it. Like, maybe it was something sold exclusively through the Square Enix shop or something. Hmm.
EDIT: holy shit, found it
