Re: My Bedro.....I mean Gameroom (Pic Heavy!)
I love my SD Samsung set (It'll be my first and last TV if I get my way) but it literally was running on fumes last night as it got screwed up sound wise since an electrical storm last year and I have as of yet not fixed it due to being broke.
I recently took my other SD set (An awesome '88 27in. JVC studio monitor with S-video and Sony Trinitron style apeture grille, not pictured) to get repaired/rejuvinated and it took about 20 mins. of haggling to get them to even look at it. Apparently most shops in my area have ceased repairing any tube based sets (SD or HD) which could pose a problem for my HD tube set if ever needs repairs.

Did you 'harass your mom' for all of that shit in the pictures?Mod_Man_Extreme wrote: Volume four is right there on the shelf, it's the brown box that has the Gotham Knights (AKA series 2) style artwork. Trust me I harassed my mom for that endlessly and got it a few weeks after it came out in '05 for X-mas with the limited edition litho cell included.

The fact that I'm 17 should make it easy to deduce why I was harassing my mom for something when I was 13, but no aside from my PS3 and first Saturn my mom never really bought me anything other than a game here or there and an N64 for X-Mas '00.

You get double points for actually respecting the oldest Batman TAS considering your age.Mod_Man_Extreme wrote:The fact that I'm 17 should make it easy to deduce why I was harassing my mom for something when I was 13, but no aside from my PS3 and first Saturn my mom never really bought me anything other than a game here or there and an N64 for X-Mas '00.

There isn't any other Batman (animation or otherwise) that can touch how awesome that one moment in the 90's was. When they started re-running it on TOONAMI I freaked out and watched or taped every ep. I could. But yeah the original Batman TAS commands respect from all those who watch it.

Thats an awesome collection! Speaking of Batman the Animated Series... Have they released the Mask of Phantasm on DVD yet??? I was watching it on the old VHS and man that was a great movie. My favorite part is when the joker is reaching for something to hit Andrea with; instead of picking a knife he grabs salami and beats her with it.

Actually it's been on DVD since '99 and can be seen on the shelf next to my copy of Batman Gotham Knight, and Batman Beyond DVDs. Batman Sun-Zero was also released simultaneously on DVD but I haven't come across it in any stores lately, hence me not owning it. I really should check amazon for a new copy but I've been too lazy to recently.Mr.White555 wrote:Thats an awesome collection! Speaking of Batman the Animated Series... Both movies were released as a double feature two movies on one disc type deal last year but I've already got Phantasm; and Instead of the anamorphic widescreen of the original '99 DVD releases these were in a 4:3 SDTV ratio for some inexplicable reason.

Re: My Bedro.....I mean Gameroom (Pic Heavy!)
Sub-Zero was alright. The biggest problem was how many times they kept bringing back Mr Freeze in the series, and then this movie. I mean, he's the most sympathetic of all the villains, and he is defeated in ways that leave no leftover vengeance, but then he's back and full of crazy indiscriminate rage before you know it. Your bitch is dead and cold. Give it up.Mod_Man_Extreme wrote:Actually it's been on DVD since '99 and can be seen on the shelf next to my copy of Batman Gotham Knight, and Batman Beyond DVDs. Probably the weakest of all the batman animated movies or at least on par with this one:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0346578/
So god damn corny, but I enjoyed some of it.

I've never actually seen Sub-Zero or Batwoman. They were two of the in flight TOONAMI movies I'll always regret having missed when they were broadcast.

It turns out there is a 2005 DVD of Mask of Phantasm on Amazon for $6. I'm probably gonna end up buying it later...
Sub Zero was just ok. The two part episode that involved Mr.Freeze's back story was by far the best Mr.Freeze story. I think it was called heart of darkness or something like that.
