Oh! Maybe it's Drop Mix: Switch Edition.

Supposedly, Nintendo "Pixelbits"...kinda like Legos, but that make Amiibo like things that the IR camera can pick up and add into games.

(at least, per a screencap on another site  )

Ugh, ffs Nintendo.

Ah well, according to the same people who have been leaking these Mini Directs ahead of their schedules, a full Direct catered to more hardcore gamers is coming in February.

Are amiibos not toy-to-life?
Ubisoft, at least, thinks TTL isn't dead with that spaceship game they have.
If they're a cheaper alternative to Lego that have strong properties and even work with games, I could see something like that being at least somewhat popular with how damn expensive Legos are now-a-days. Though perhaps the Lego-like space is too packed for them to make a difference. I know there is at least one Lego-ish toy series in Japan that I've never seen here before.

Believe it or not, all but the most recent Skylanders game were highly rated. Infinity not so much.
