Exactly living in denial, then lashing out and raging like as reprise put it, always Nintendo hating neckbeard types who would never buy one anyway just gets old. Great you hate Nintendo f-off and go play with yourself elsewhere unless you live off complaining or have no fun anyway other than that and just are a poser.Sarge wrote:If they love Nintendo, they'll realize that the Wii U was a disaster; continued support of the system only holds them back from actually being significantly more profitable again so they can push out more great games.
As far as the ports are concerned...
I was 'loyal' from 1985 forward and look what it got me with the WiiU, a dusty system that I had the potential to sell and get my money back fees aside nearly in full with just a moderate hit on the games I had. I enjoyed what I could out of it, and it died and I didn't care to have a zombie on the shelf for 3 years longer.
No one is being forced to buy the stuff. The ports and remasters, so, it's a handheld, they're console games. If this is hard to understand, maybe you will never get it and don't need to.
Oh and Segata the Switch Skyrim was the Remaster release for PS4/One, not the old 2011 version. That came out at the end of October, 2016. I do agree on Dark Souls and the DS conversion, but I was factoring in existing on the retail shelf stuff, not the future.
Re: Switch Discussion Thread
I know it was the remaster but I was saying Skyrim itself is still a 2011 game. .hack GUY on PS4 released last year but they are still PS2 games.

Re: Switch Discussion Thread
after months of my Switch collecting dust, I'm actually considering selling it. I love the concept of this portable in theory. In actuality, I never seem to use it.
Re: Switch Discussion Thread
Well you got to do what you feel is best.
Perhaps comb over amazon and look at the upcoming stuff. I just noticed more games listed coming out that haven't been blown out in the media or on a Direct of some sort yet have popped up. If you can't find something worthwhile, give it maybe until June, let E3 play out, and then drop the axe if you're not impressed. Ditching it then, you could ride a slightly better resale price as people get hyped.

On chapter 9 (of 10 I believe) in Xenoblade 2 and pretty sad I don't know if I'll get KOS-MOS. As a rare human being on Earth that actually loves Xenogears and all three Xenosaga's, I feel like the person that should get that reward haha. I keep trying to get her with Zeke with Justice Boosters. Have only gotten 2-3 Legendary Cores so far. I think I have ~14 main Blades to get so it's probably going to get harder and harder.
Anyways, game is still incredible. Giving me a sense of wonder that Breath of the Wild gave me last summer.
I didn't want to dig too deeply in case of spoilers, but it doesn't sound like this game has a point of no return at the end? As in it doesn't immediately throw you into NG+ or whatever. I might keep playing a bit after beating it if it stays opened up.

Re: Switch Discussion Thread
Once you beat Xenoblade 2, it gives you the opportunity to save after the credits roll. A few super bosses become available only after beating the game. NG+ isn't out yet. It will be patched in for free later this year.
I lost count of how many legendary cores I opened up to get all the rare blades. It is definitely in the hundreds. Good luck on KOS-MOS. She was second to last for me.

The PS3 to PS4 stuff were typically enhancements though. Most of these Switch ports are not, but you do get the portability factor. But for those like me, whos Switch will rarely leave the house, getting something like Skyrim for it is not interesting.Sarge wrote:If they love Nintendo, they'll realize that the Wii U was a disaster; continued support of the system only holds them back from actually being significantly more profitable again so they can push out more great games.
As far as the ports are concerned, the remaster trend was a bit annoying when you're talking about moving a game from PS3 or 360 to PS4/XB1, still tethered to a TV... although I'm not against them either when done well. The significant appeal on the Switch is that portability factor. The idea that you can play console-level games on the go has always been appealing, and even if some of it is last-gen gaming, I would argue that this is the generation where power is mattering less and less. The jump from PS3 to PS4 isn't nearly as big; we're getting to the point where the upgrades are going to be harder and harder to sell unless you need the horsepower to push something like VR.

that's where I'm at. Initially I was like "woah! I can play Skyrim ANYWHERE now!" but then I realized that I don't really game outside of my game room, so it's kind of meaningless.Jmustang1968 wrote:But for those like me, whos Switch will rarely leave the house, getting something like Skyrim for it is not interesting.

Re: Switch Discussion Thread
I totally understand your point of view there. For me the portability is a HUGE factor for me. I take it with me everywhere and I can not tell you how many times we have busted out puyo puyo tetris, 1 2 switch or snipperclips on a table and had so much fun!noiseredux wrote:that's where I'm at. Of course, not saying you guys need to do that. Everyone has their own tastes and preferences. I definitely get my money's worth personally.
