I think that's a general consideration here - I think the only new, Switch exclusive games shown were Kirby Star Allies and Mario Tennis Aces. Options are nice though, and many customers may not have the previous consoles. Same thing is true for HD ports on things like PS4.
Personally, I think Mario Tennis Aces looks promising, and I'll almost certainly buy Dark Souls again since I find it to have a lot of replay value.

At least a lot of these titles are portable for the first time. That's a big enough selling point for a lot of people (me included)
Re: Switch Discussion Thread
Yeah, the difference between this and all the ports that came out during the Wii U launch is that I'm tempted to buy these.
Re: Switch Discussion Thread
I hope Mario Tennis is decent this time. There hasn’t been a good one since the GameCube and GBA Mario Tennis games.
It’s hard for me to get too excited about the Wii U ports since i own those already, but Hyrule Warriors is sort of tempting for all the DLC, if i could get it for $30 anyway. Hopefully they at least release these at $40 since full price would be asking way too much in my opinion.

Are you new to Nintendo?ESauced wrote:Hyrule Warriors is sort of tempting for all the DLC, if i could get it for $30 anyway. Hopefully they at least release these at $40 since full price would be asking way too much in my opinion.
They'll be full price...

If re-heated past gen ports are mostly what's on the menu, can we get a Switch port of Smash Bros. 4 with all the DLC already?

+ Geno. I think this is a given, since Sakurai pretty much said that he doesn't want to keep making smash bros just to add characters, since that also ruins the game balance. And the consensus around WiiU/3DS smash seemed to be that it was pretty good (unlike brawl that always gets a bar rap).Anayo wrote:If re-heated past gen ports are mostly what's on the menu, can we get a Switch port of Smash Bros. 4 with all the DLC already?
I have to say Nintendo having only 1 console to support has worked wonders. I haven't bought a switch yet, but I feel so behind and already have 6 games on my MUST BUY list

ZeroAX,
I bought a Wii U just for Smash 4. And I already owned it on 3DS. XD

I think we'll get Smash 5.
Although part of me does wonder if we'll finally see a GameCube virtual console, or even enhanced GameCube ports, which could lead to a semi-remastered port of Melee, with online support and other enhancements, since people always seem to call that one the best one.
Or maybe I'm way off the mark there.

Re: Switch Discussion Thread
See a lot of people complaining about ports coming to Switch. Do people not remember the PS4 in 2014? It was a port machine. While it still gets them it balanced itself with newer games. Switch will balance itself out with time. It's not even a year old yet.
