So I have Soldier Blade on the PS3 and I booted it up again and I noticed the sound seemed like their was some distortion.
Is this pretty common on the PS3 TG16 games? How does it compare to the Wii Virtual Console.
I was thinking about picking some up for the Wii, but this could be a decision point.
Thanks!

I can't speak for the PS3 quality, but as far as Wii goes, from the limited experience I have (Ys 1+2 and Military Madness), I've never noticed any sound distortions or anything.

I didn't notice any issues on Wii either. I have Bonks Adventure, Air Zonk, Bomberman 93 and Lords of Thunder.
There are a good few Turbografx games on Wii U now too. Not sure how good the emulation is in those but the appeal of playing it handheld is worth it for me

FWIW, Rondo of Blood (TG-CD) on the Wii VC sounds great.

I wish I could help you but I haven't had a Wii in years now and I did have Drac X and Ys1+2 book on there. As far as I can recall they didn't sound off in the least bit against what my Duo had been doing just a few years earlier.
If you really are that curious my advice to you is simple.
TG emulator that'll run a CUE/ISO setup, download those 2 games from emuparadise, and crank up your speakers and compare. I'd have to do that at this rate until I can muster the cajones to order that TerraOnion Super System 3 CD lockon device.
