Life after Zelda

So my wife is a huge Zelda addict. My fault entirely, as I was the one who stuck her in front of Zelda 3 on SNES a few years back and said "here, try this". Three years later, she has collected and completed every single Zelda game on every platform (with the exception of Zelda II on NES, and the Philips CD-I Zelda title, neither of which seemed to appeal to her at all).

So the next question is, where to from here? I know there are some obvious "Zelda clones" out there like Golden Axe Warrior on Sega Master System, and Neutopia I and II on TG16/PCE. Are there any others people would recommend?

She likes both the 2D/overhead titles, as well as the 3D third person titles. I've looked around and seen a few games like Fable (XBox) that seem to have some of the third-person action/RPG elements. Any ideas if that would suit a Twilight Princess fan?

Spirit Tracks is due soon, but I'm preparing myself for another Phantom Hourglass which was way too easy (the wife finished it in 3 days).

Try the Metroid and Metroid Prime series, also Ico and Shadow of the Colossus are both fantastic action games with RPG elements.

The first Alundra on Playstation is quite Zelda-ish.

Beyond Oasis for genesis. There was a Saturn sequel, don't remember the name though.

There's always zelda classic - fanmade top-down zelda games using a clone engine for PC.
Some of the Bomberman games added rpg/puzzle solving in a zeldaish way. I can't remember exactly which are which just now but I think Bomberman Tournament for GBA and Bomberman Hero for N64 might be the ones I'm thinking of.
Two japanese NES games that have translation patches are very zelda like - Radia Senki for NES and Seiken Psycho Calibur for Famicom Disk System - I think I remember Willow being kinda zelda-like too.
These last 2 might be a stretch, but Secret of Mana for SNES and Crusader of Centy for Genesis have kinda similar gameplay tho they are more RPG/level gaining oriented than zelda.
For the 3rd person games, maybe Megaman Legends 1&2 for PS1 would appeal to her.

That is a great one! A bit on the dark side, though.

I'd also highly recommend its spiritual predeccessor, the beloved Landstalker on the Genesis.

Regarding the Bomberman series, I'd say that Bomberman Quest for the Gameboy Color is closest to the Zelda games, it's kind of a Link's Awakening, only with Bomberman.

The Granstream Saga for the PSOne also has some Zelda-like elements

Maybe you could try E.G.G. (Elemental Gimmick Gear) for the Dreamcast: I did not play this one, but it seems to be quite like the Zelda games.

My favorite clones would be Crusader of the Centy for the genesis and the awesome Star Tropics for the NES.

I you use your imagination the original Metal Gear for the NES is similar with puzzles and collecting items and clues to move on. She may also like the Adventure of Lolo series - not as much action but many puzzles.

Also you could try Illusion of Gaia and Secret of Mana for the SNES.

Thank you all for the suggestions so far. I've already gotten a hold of Okami on Wii so that's in the pipeline. Ico and Shadow of the Colossus were also ones I was considering.
