Yes I do. But I was curious about options I may have missed on Xbox One as that's the platform I've actually been playing the most lately.Exhuminator wrote:Do you have any other gaming platforms available to you besides Xbox One?noiseredux wrote:I don't do ROMz. Thanks, though.

The Peanuts Movie: Snoopy's Grand Adventure is a licensed 2D style platformer, playing in a retro manner, for Xbox One.noiseredux wrote:But I was curious about options I may have missed on Xbox One as that's the platform I've actually been playing the most lately.
Other than that, I can't think of anything else meeting this TR's criteria for Xbox One. Good luck man.

my guess is if there's other stuff besides the Capcom Disney games that I'm forgetting, they'll be digital only titles (and possibly backwards compatible 360 ones). At any rate, obviously that Snoopy game is a new game so not actually fitting the criteria, but hey - I've never heard of it and it looks kind of cool, so I still learned something here. Thanks!

The Mummy Demastered perhaps - Wayforward in general probably has a number of things to consider if not looking at 16-bit era games. While not on XB1, stuff like Thor: God of Thunder or Aliens Infestation should fall under that as well, or even the Regular Show game on 3DS or the Batman: The Brave and the Bold for Wii.Exhuminator wrote: Other than that, I can't think of anything else meeting this TR's criteria for Xbox One. Behaviour Interactive/Articial Mind and Movement may be another to look at (they did most of the Kim Possible games, for instance).
I think emulation (or actual 16-bit hardware) is likely the easier route though, since outside of really big name stuff like the Disney titles, licensed games tend to be the kind of thing that gets left behind due to rights being more complicated.

I agree wholeheartedly, but he doesn't do "ROMz".isiolia wrote:I think emulation (or actual 16-bit hardware) is likely the easier route though

right. I don't do "ROMz". I mean even if I just played the Disney Afternoon Collection for a month, I'd not have a shortage of things to play.

yeah I knew that Aladdin and Lion King and Jungle Book are all on GOG etc. Again, was just looking to see if I spaced out on anything playable on Xbox One since that's where I've done, well, all of my gaming for several months now.
Re: Let's vote on January's Together Retro theme!
I voted Rare and Licensed games. I actually have been playing Donkey Kong Country 2 the past few nights so I’m ahead of the game if that is picked.
I have so, so many licensed games it’s pretty ridiculous. Between the tons of licensed Disney, Star Wars, Ninja Turtles, Batman, Nickelodeon and other misc (Garfield on Genesis anyone?), I would have a tough time narrowing down my choices.
I’m not the biggest treasure fan (sacreligious I know) but if that’s picked I’ll actually have an easier time narrowing down my choices. I think my options would be down to Gunstar Heroes, Mischief Makers, Dynamite Headdy, Ikaruga and The Sin and Punishment games.
As far as Zelda clones, I think my only option outside of Zelda itself would be Beyond Oasis.

I just looked up Treasure games to see if I had any others and Wikipedia says they made Warriors World. If that’s right I did not realize that. I haven’t played that game in a long time but I loved it when I was a kid. I will probably go with that game if we choose Treasure.
