Plz tell me what to play next - y'know those threads?

So after beating GOTG and Destiny 2, I kind of finished up playing all the games I really wanted to get to try out for 2017 releases. I'm still interested in The Evil Within 2, but probably going to wait until after I get through the first one. I was kind of interested in Battlegrounds just because of the phenomenon it's been, but having just been released yesterday - and so close to the holidays - I'm feeling like I don't want to buy anymore games until after Christmas.

The Overwatch "Winter Wonderland" event came with perfect timing, so I'll gladly be hitting that up the next couple weeks and probably revisiting Destiny 2 to wrap up some side-quests. But having said that, it occurs to me that I've also got plenty of games sitting on my shelf that I could finally spend some time with. So, I guess I'm looking for some motivation to focus on one of the games below sooner rather than later.

I'm specifically trying to pull from a stack of physical games I recently acquired.

I'm gonna say you should play either of the fighting games personally.

It's Christmas soon, it doesn't seem unreasonable to think that you might either get a new game to play or some voucher or something you'll buy a new game with, so you might as well play something short now so you don't give it up in favour of the new thing later.

Oh, oh, how about Mighty No. Play A Better Mega Man Game Like Mega Man 2 Instead? I hear that's a good one.

Eh, play either Neowave and compare it to the history of KoF or Ghosts and compare it to the CoD series overall. Where do these games fit? How do they pull from their roots in games from 15 or 20 years ago? Focus on the past while you play.

Might No. 9 was a gift, but I'm interested in playing it BECAUSE it's supposed to be pretty bad, and in light of the recent MM11 announcement. I've played MM2... and pretty much every other MM in the past so I'm not missing out on one of those by playing MN9 instead.

As far as the fighting games go, I'm probably more interested in Neowave, although I was thinking this would be a good time to play KI since Weaponlord was the TR game and there's a connection there.

I should note that I don't really get hung up on if I'm playing a "retro" game or a "modern" game. I just play games. I like old games and new games. I like games.
