Re: Games Acquired 2017
The other day, I cashed in some mynintendo coins for a discount on Tokyo Crash Mobs (3DS). I spent some time with it. It is absolutely insane:

Seriously, it is the most surreal gaming experience I have had in years. It’s also a solid puzzle game. I highly recommend it.

Re: Games Acquired 2017
Found some good stuff locally:

I had no idea Eternal Eyes was a JRPG! Always thought it was a hack and slash game like Darkstone or something, based on the name, cover, publisher. It got "bad" reviews which means I'll probably like it.

Re: Games Acquired 2017
Apparently I forgot to update for October, so here's two months worth of updates I guess!
Previous months:
October:
Sonic Mania Switch eShop - £16.99
Ys Origins Vita - £22.36
Caladrius Blaze PS4 - £22.36
Super Mario Odyssey Switch - £41.86
Total: 4 games - £103.57
November:
Snipperclips Plus - Cut It Out, Together! Switch - £21.85
Pokémon Ultra Moon 3DS - £31.85
Undertale Vita - £18.62
Actraiser SNES - £30
Plok SNES
Rainbow Islands Master System
Ninja Gaiden Master System
Crazy Taxi Dreamcast
Little Nemo: The Dream Master NES - All 5 for £53
Tetrisphere N64 - £2
Wonderswan Colour console
Rhyme Rider Kerorican Wonderswan
Sennou Millenium Wonderswan
One Piece: Niji no Shima Densetsu Wonderswan- All WSC stuff for £50
Total:13 games, 1 console - £207.32
October was a month where I bought a few Switch games, and a couple of games I'd ordered in previous months turned up from Limited Run Games.
November features my order of Undertale from Fangamer arriving, a few new game purchases and a pretty successful trip to the Retro Gaming Market here in London which featured some Nintendo and Sega love alongside a new console acquisition. The One Piece game was a freebie, which is good because I can't play it as it's a Japanese language RPG.

Re: Games Acquired 2017
Ah, the utterly painful memories of me accidentally saving my RPG Maker game over a friends when he was there in the same room and we both just watched it happen. Cue pure silence. He had like 20+ hours on it I think and we just had our own memory cards in each slot. I think he's forgotten about it nowadays but it still haunts me.BoneSnapDeez wrote:Found some good stuff locally:

I'll be very curious about your opinion on Eternal Eyes.BoneSnapDeez wrote:I had no idea Eternal Eyes was a JRPG! Always thought it was a hack and slash game like Darkstone or something, based on the name, cover, publisher. It got "bad" reviews which means I'll probably like it.
I passed that game several times because I had heard it was more like a Pokemon clone and a bad game as well.
Looking up information, the game seems more like a Tactical RPG. It's a game not talked about, so I'll be curious to hear somebody talk about the game.

Congratulations, you have made the best of choices.Xeogred wrote: My first Japanese 360 game came in.
Now you just need Muchi Muchi Pork/Pink Sweets <3
I played this when it was new, after purchasing it new from Target for a grand total of $1.99Markies wrote: I'll be very curious about your opinion on Eternal Eyes.
You are right in your Pokemon comparison, it has a lot of that going on (Though far less fleshed out), but it is an SRPG (Also not so fleshed out here). It is charming, often adorable, and I think its better than most would assume considering its release, but its not quite "hidden gem" level of quality imo.
I remember the opening being fantastic though!
