Castle Crasher fans might want to check this out!

Post by Gamerforlife »

Do a youtube search on The Dishwasher Samurai. It looks incredible! Something for 2-d beat'em up fans as well as anyone who loves Kill Bill. There are moments in the game where you will actually see blood splattering on the background as you slice and dice your enemies. Lots of gory finishing moves too! It looks awesome!

The game even has something for metalheads out there. Watch an undead samurai rock out and be in awe:

This game is looking like a must-purchase for me. It's only ten bucks.

That's pretty cool. Is it available on Xbox Live?

Yeah, it just came out within the past week. Runs for 800 points which isn't too bad. The trailers were definitely interesting. I've got the demo downloaded, but I just haven't gotten around to trying it yet.

I think so. It takes some looking to find it, but if you go to game marketplace and then about 3 squares in is a 'days of arcade' (summer of arcade?) tab. It'll bring up a set of games featured for it. It is in there along with outrun (though, not out yet).

it is a pain in the ass to find. It isn't under "d" in the browse all section, so don't look there. Way to organize everything microsoft! the new dashboard was sooooo worth it! LOL LOL AMIRIGHT?

i'll probably pick it up. looks fun.

This game rocks. I've waited forever for this game to come out and I'm glad it didn't disappoint. Only problem is its hard to the point of being cheap in the later levels. I love the art style and concept though.

So is he a dishwasher that's out to save the world from zombies? Then rocks out on his guitar at the end of levels?

Oh my god, I'm having a ton of fun. I was ready to write the game off because of how frustratingly hard it was, but once you get the chainsaw you become a death dealing, brutal, merciless grim reaper. And it just gets better from there as you get more upgrades, another new weapon and new magic. Everyone will have their favorite weapon, but you might as well call me Jason because the chainsaw is my weapon of choice.

Anyway, this is a definitely an awesome game that everyone should try. It's very retro, but also feels modern because it's sort of like a 2-d version of Devil May Cry. In fact, I'm almost certain this game was inspired by Dante's adventures. For me, it works better because that sort of hardcore, fast paced action seems easier when it's in 2-d. This game is definitely right up there with Castle Crashers in terms of fun
