PLAY KING'S FIELD.
Re: What are you playing?
Oh, yeah, Dark Forces absolutely holds up. I played it and DOOM pretty close to each other, and they've both got arguments in their favor.
Re: What are you playing?
Just get Marathon 2 in there and you'll have an early FPS power triple.

Playing a phenomenal tycoon-style game from 2005 from Lionhead Studios called, The Movies. This is such a blast from the past, what with building and keeping up a movie studio, managing your actors and directors needs while also training them and placing them in movies. You also can have a pool of script writers or write your own movies and film your custom film.
It is such a complete package to have the fun tycoon micromanaging and building and the weird world they created with award ceremonies, radio talk shows and so much more. They joy is in the detail, with films taking on qualities of films in the era you are in, starting with silent films and moving up to the complex modern films.
The game was a pain in the ass to get working on Windows 10, but I managed to get it going last night and can't wait to dig my teeth into it.

Xmen 2 Clone Wars on Sega Genesis, trying to beat actually, also Deadlight on PS4, loving it so far
Every week I try something new and I'm actually looking for some sega saturn hidden gems
besides Pu-Li-Ru-La that I bought recently

Re: What are you playing?
I've got only 5 games left to finish for my Halloween-athon. I know, you all will be so sad when it's over! Three of them are retro games and two are modern. The one I've been playing the most is one of the modern ones, I'm hoping to have it beat tonight. It's about being a scared little girl who is viciously murdered by monsters in the dark. Don't look at me like that, it's not a hentai title.
PLAY KING'S FIELD.
Re: What are you playing?
I'm not playing anything. I beat it all. HELP!
Craving an FPS for sure though. Friday cannot come soon enough...

I am quite literally at the end of Ys VIII. Not even the final boss is standing, I had to quit during the epilogue because it was getting way too late...
Spoiler alert: It's great. I'll have more detailed thoughts later, but I enjoyed almost every bit of my time with the game, wonky localization aside.

Grabbed the Animal Crossing mobile game this morning. Working today so I won't be able to play until tonight. Will let folks know how it is.

I'm glad you liked it, but also shocked that anyone could.Sarge wrote:I am quite literally at the end of Ys VIII. Not even the final boss is standing, I had to quit during the epilogue because it was getting way too late...

To me the game is up there with stuff like Final Fantasy XIII or Metal Gear Solid IV or V, where "it's technically playable" is the biggest compliment I can give.
