Wow, that is one of the least cool-looking sci-fi armors/action suits I think I've ever seen. He's like the football armadillo

I think the armor looks... okay. But I definitely wouldn't say that it's inspired.

The whole series has a very metallic chunky aesthetic. What do you guys want? Modern sci-fi armor like newer Halo or Mass Effect stuff is terrible to me.

I actually like the armor of Dead Space, not because it looks like some kind of futuristic military-grade tech, but because it simply looks like a heavy workman's suit. Because frankly the hero of Dead Space is pretty much a maintenance engineer. He's the guy in your office building who has to fix the locks and the plumbing, sometimes in the same day. It makes sense that he'd get the crappy suit. It's meant to survive deep space and leaking starship septic systems.

Plus that's your HUD on the back, and I always got a kick about how your health bar resembled a human spine.
