Uppers on PSVita
Burning Edge on PS4

All I know of is brand new unless you count Yakuza games and there is that Fist of the North Star game coming from the Yakuza team.

I count them as beat em ups, but apparently that is not a popular opinion because they are 3D. Why? I have no idea.

That makes no sense to me. So game like God Hand would not count even tho that is the entire game? Wierd logic IMO. Makes as much sense to say Persona 5 isn't a real RPG because it's 3D. :/

I think 3D brawlers tend to have very consequential differences in play mechanics. As a genre, the mainstream beat 'em up (belt scroller) actually has a pretty narrow range of proscribed mechanics compared to many other types of games. When 3D brawler games started being released, they followed a pretty different mechanical model. So while they looked similar, they typically didn't feel similar at all. If the 2D beat 'em up hadn't ended up being such a narrow experience I'd say 3D brawlers would be easier to include under the same umbrella, but as it is, it's like the two are separate mini-genres due to that mechanical distance.
