I kind of gave up on Turok 1 HD when I hit a brick wall with the first boss. I'm still going to get Turok 2 sometime though.

That first boss the fight with the jeep? That's probably the toughest part of the game. Circle strafe like a mother and don't even worry about your ammo, just unload. It sucks, but it is beatable. Once you're through with that, the rest of the game is never as difficult.
