SNES Classic coming September 29th

Debating whether I want one bad enough to hit my local Walmart up tonight. It's a cool piece of kit, I just don't know if I need it bad enough to drop $80 on it right now.

So I call my local places. Meijer 1 says," We have it... you line... I'm not telling you how many." Second Meijer says, "We already have a line, and inwont tell you how many we have."

Call Wal-Mart. First one says, "We have 40 and will sell them at open tomorrow (close at midnight)."

second insists that isn't a real thing and it doesn't exist in their system and to call someone else.

I hope this is just paranoia and we're all fine with this in the end. I can't see too many scalpers showing up with the known far larger quantities and all stores seemingly rationing one per person. I guess it maybe worth it to some scum to try and sucker a chump for $200 still though but it's a gamble since it's not NES CE tight by any means.

For now I'm topping off my phone and whatever I can of a backup battery I forgot I have so maybe I can keep busy with a tv stream or internet browsing around my book as it could get very boring.

Yeah learned that stores were expressly told NOT to say they know where they are located or how many they had in the Meijer email my friend the GM receieved. Wonder if other outlets received the same thing.

I am hitting up a Meijer now. The first I stopped at said they just started lining up and like 20 people were already there. Went to the other location and 2 people were there and had been so since 2 pm.

I think y'all are just solidifying that it's not worth my time to line up for this bad boy. I can better use the time to play my actual SNES, or that copy of Ys VIII I ordered.

2 pm? Yeah, no. Michi ain't doing that.

I don't think anybody was lined up earlier, so maybe I have a shot. I'll just get there some time before 7 and hope for the best. If there's a line when I get there I'll just politely ask the employees if they think I have a chance at getting one (presumably by then they'll have seen the stock.) If so, yay. If not, hasta muchacho, I'm going back to bed.

Well, actually, I'll probably go for a nice, early morning walk and catch some Pokemon while it's still cool out. Then I'll go back to bed.

Oh I am crazy. We need two, one for me, because I've only beaten 3 of the games on the lineup and played 2 of the others.

The second is for my mother in law. I'll be getting that tomorrow morning at a different store.

I know it is crazy for most collector's since y'all got it already, but I definitely don't.

I really just want Starfox 2. Everything else on there that I don't already own is just gravy.
