you can make accts for each region and can then basically pick which eShop you'd like to browse. You just need a different email address for each acct.

that's awesome. so no hardware change required? I imagine the Japanese estore will display in Japanese though?

It is in Japanese, but you can figure out most of it pretty quick. It also takes paypal universally now.

Sphear is downloading, still trying to get Spelunker. Though Spelunker is getting a US demo soon enough.

Fair warning, once you make a Japanese eshop account your news feed will be useless.
