Speaking of Overwatch, Blizzard has really started to try getting their heads out of their asses this year in terms of doing what people have been asking for (kinda, this is Blizzard, after allBogusMeatFactory wrote: Even the games that have been out for a year plus have had renewed support like overwatch and their new characters and No Man's Sky which finally have us a polished product!

I identify everyone via avatar, so if you change your avatar, I genuinely might completely forget who you are. -- Me

This year made me love my PS4 so much. From the mentioned releases to the stuff like limited print stuff from LRG and Play-Asia. It truly is one of the best years in gaming. Not seen it this good since the 90s. (never thought 2007 was all that great)
Edit this is what I have gotten this year on physical 2017 releases.
Gravity Rush 2
Soldner X-2
Astbreed
Night Trap
Nier Automata
Ghost Blade HD Limited Edition
Persona 5 TYH Edition
Wonder Boy The Dragon's Trap
Darius Burst CS
Final Fantasy XII HD
Wipeout HD Collection with Steelbook
Sine More EX
Zelda Botw
RiME
Yakuza 0
Yakuza Kiwami
Ys Origin
Ys VIII CE
Metroid Samus Returns
Gundam Vs (just because it looks like Virtual On)
Tokyo Xanadu
Raiden V
Battle Chasers
.hack HD collection
USFII
If I posted every single game I got I would post it in that other thread. I just posted games that technically released this year in some form. I know many have longer lists but for me, this is insane as I normally for a year do at best a third of this for new releases.

I should point out I was being a little objective in my first post too, not everything listed there resonates with my personally... but the point is ultimately that this year is a home run for us all. It's a win for everyone and the best time to be gaming.

I don't normally play a lot of new releases but 2017 has done a good job of making me stand up and take notice.
I've been working my way through NieR:Automata and while I'm not as in love with it as some of you guys it has struck me as feeling like something that could have easily fit in during Square's glory days.

Hmm we agree a lot, especially on mecha anime... I wonder what you'll think of it by the time you wrap up ending C. It's the closest thing to Xenogears/Xenosaga to me in the greatest ways ever. Probably my GOTY, somehow defeating Breath of the Wild.Gunstar Green wrote:I don't normally play a lot of new releases but 2017 has done a good job of making me stand up and take notice.

I own two 2017 physical releases. Breath of the Wild and Poochy & Yoshi's Woolly World.
I did see a Switch for the first time the other day though so that was cool.

Haha oh yeah, I forgot about my avatar. I guess that makes my post agreeing with you a little redundant, since my opinion was probably already a givenXeogred wrote: Yeah your avatar pleases me.![]()

Nier is a narrow second for me. Yakuza 0 just beat it personally. Nier Automata is a fantastic game.Reprise wrote:I'm actually with you there.Xeogred wrote:NieR:Automata[...] Probably my GOTY, somehow defeating Breath of the Wild.
