Longshot is the new (and first) story mode in Madden 18. WAIT! Don't stop reading yet. So it's basically like Football: The Telltale Series if that makes sense. It's a story about a kid aiming to get drafted. But there's a whole like, life story there. There's decisions to be made and they'll affect your relationships and career. It's pretty interesting stuff. I'm impressed.

Picked up my copy yesterday, haven't got to it yet though. I'm still trucking through 0. I've finally finished both business modes and just about all the side stories, so I'm pretty much just gonna blast through the last few story chapters soon.

I recently started playing the original Doom on PC and I'm having a really good time with it. I'm playing with the GZDoom-mod (I think that's what it's called at least) since it improved the controls for me.

The game itself seems to holds up really well as I'm enjoying running around finding secrets while blasting demons. I have never heard any other music except for the classic Doom-tune but some of them are really great and deserves some love as well, the shadow of the first level track have prevented this through all years tough.

Currently I'm halfway through Episode 3 (Hell) and even though there is an extra episode in "Ultimate Doom" that I bought off Steam I think satisfied with the original experience. Instead I will wait a few months and probably return for Doom 2 when my need for killing more demons can't take it anymore.

Doom is timeless! Here's a big thread when you're ready to go deeper:

For vanilla Doom it's hard for me to pick a favorite been 1 and 2, but 2 bringing in the Super Shotgun and doubling the enemy roster really levels up the experience even more. Bigger maps too. But there's something to love about Doom 1's more claustrophobic design.

I'll probably get back to Mega Man Legends 2 myself tonight, now that Sonic Mania is beat. Legends 2 is AMAZING and even more like 3D Zelda than the first. I still find it odd I played this back in the day but have literally forgotten everything. Maybe I did play it at release in 2000 and it really just has been 17 years...

I started playing Terranigma, after owning for a year or so (My old manager had it from when he was a kid and sold it to me for the outrageously low price of £80!)

I remember I started playing it right after getting it and thought that although the beginning town was pretty and the music was beautiful, the outter world was seriously ugly and thought if it was all towers (You do 5 towers in the beginning) it was kind of overrated as a game.

Then I saw SuperDerek's review of it and thought to give it a real go and I'm definitely all in. The combat in this game is so good, the music is super pretty and sort of sad too.

Having a lot of fun

Terranigma rules! And I totally get that with the music and vibe too. It's a gorgeous game, but there's a sense of sorrow and strange nostalgia to it. A late gen SNES JRPG, arguably Quintet's last really good game, and just a really bizarre scenario with the role you play in the world's reconstruction. Nobody does weird quite like Quintet. The game really goes places and has one of the best SNES endings I've ever seen, it was pretty cinematic and emotional all things considered.

I'm currently playing three games:

Silent Hill (about 40% complete)
The Misadventures of Tron Bonne (about 50% complete)
Xenoblade Chronicles (about 35% complete)

I don't find Silent Hill to be "fun", but I respect its legacy. This is a scholarly endeavor.

Tron Bonne is awesome, I love it. I almost beat this game back in ~2001 but never did. I'm correcting that error now.

Xenoblade is great, but very demanding of my very limited free time. I'm not always in the mood for the investment it requires.
PLAY KING'S FIELD.
