Let's be honest, the average consumer is not going to buy ALL those games. They might buy 3 to 6 of their favorites or most interested games. I realized digital content is more pure profit, but all the more reason for bundles to be sold at a discount. I guess I might question the profitability of a cart though (got to be cheaper than a whole mini system with controllers ;) )

I'll admit that bundles are usually of the same company though. This has Nintendo, Capcom, Square-Enix, Konami, Rare, or whatever else. It would be somewhat unprecedented as a digital bundle.

Anyways, I've heard logistical improbabilities of the SNES classic with this set of/type of games ever having a release (Earthbound alone was once though untouchable). Yet here we are.
I don't trust anything I hear anymore.

Walked into gameplop yesterday. Asked if I could preorder the SNES classic. The neckbeard chortled at me. Told me those sold out in the first thirty minutes. Talked to me like I'm stupid for even wanting one. Then asked if I want to preorder destiny 2. No thanks, hoss. :?

The propensity of their staff to be made up mostly of neckbeards who treat me like an idiot are what make me not want to go their store on any given occasion :/

I'm trying to decide if I want to wait in line on release date and get one.... I know that Toys R Us is going to have some as they said in store only. I'm semi interested in it because I like having a system in my bedroom at night. I didn't jump on the NES Classic as I have a Famicom & Disk System already plugged into that bedroom as all I wanted was the controller (which I finally found a Europe version but they are all the same honestly). Though what time should I even get the Toys R Us to stand in line is the question.

Not sure if that's true but I remember it being floated around 20 years ago.
If so, it was for the best. We got a whole other game out of the mix, while we would see a fan translation come about some years later for SD3.

As for the Switch getting a SNES classic "Physical" release. I approve heartily. I don't see why we can't have both though.
I think there are shades of truth, but both companies approached each other at the right time. Miyamoto wanted a Mario RPG and Square wanted a game to make the genre mainstream in the West. It was the perfect storm.

See that's my concern. Lines and do you bother and don't trust Nintendo about largely increased output, and if not trusting when? TRU has a goodly amount of them because no preorder syphoning, but the others will have it too but how many? Not as many, so it's a gamble. Stand outside bestbuy awhile and get a number to return when they open, or stand at TRU and hope for the best. Not a fun situation.

Damn mobile that messed it up.

Clearing that up. Responding to that other post closing with (Though what time should I even get the Toys R Us to stand in line is the question.)

I'm concerned about it. Do you do the line or not? Do you line up at TRU since they'll have more stock since none of it was accounted for already. Or do you go to a place like Bestbuy which usually will hand out a number and not making you stand around all night but will have less since some are accounted for.

It's like, do you trust Nintendo's word they're putting out far more to meet the need, or consider it marketing lies or miscalculation and just line up. It's a gamble.
