DS is the most contemporary system I own, and I pretty much have the games I want for it at the moment, but what games are coming up that I should be looking forward to?
I'm excited for Sands of Destruction, 7th Dragon, and Shining Force Feather, which are coming sometime next year, and Zelda: Spirit Tracks looks highly enjoyable to me (what can I say? I like Zelda and I like trains), but what else is there to look forward to? Or are there any really good games that came out for the system recently which slipped under alot of people's radars? I think there's a Suikoden game for the DS now. Is that worth checking out?
Anyway, I'm primarily into Adventure games, be they Action-Adventure or of the RPG breed -- and of course, anything by Sega will get me excited. Any suggestions?
So, anything to get excited for on the DS?

Suikoden Tierkreis DS came out recently and I can say it is an amazing game. But be warned it is in almost no way like the previous Suikoden games in the series except for the fact you get a castle and collect 108 stars of destiny. The story takes place in a new world and doesn't relate to the previous Suikoden story either. Aside from that, it's definately an rpg to check out on the DS. I recommend getting it before it goes off the shelf, as Suikoden games usually don't last long on store shelves.

Dragon Quest 9, a new Kingdom Hearts, Phantasy Star 0, those are a few that sound neat to me. Probably some more but thats a few to make for some fun downtime.

Oh wow--I could list a lot of DS games I think are worth owning, and quite a few coming out soon.
The DS is actually proving to be one of the best systems (not just portable) I've had the pleasure of owning.
Here's some current releases I can suggest:
Contact
Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime
Glory Days 2
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: EoT
Lost in Blue (you either love it or hate it)
Mario Kart (of course)
Rune Factory 2 (pretty deep and the bes Harvest Moon game in some time)
Soma Bringer (if you have a flash cart and can patch with the translation, it's the best ARPG on the system)
Soul Bubbles
The World Ends with You
Yoshi Touch and Go (if you haven't played it, honestly; give it a try--it's great)
Titles coming soon:
Steal Princess (Climax...platforming, I'm sold. Plus I played the import and it's great)
Phantasy Star Zero
Blood of Bahamut (if it gets a US release)
Dokapon Journey
Knights in the Nightmare
Annie No Atelier
There are a few others but they're kind of niche. I could suggest more but those seem like good places to start.

Rhythm Heaven is released tomorrow. Recently I bought Big Bang Mini (shmup-esque DS game with frantic touch screen controls), Retro Game Challenge, Henry Hatsworth (a puzzle/platformer hybrid), and Peggle: Dual Shot.
The sequels to Professor Layton and the Curious Village (GREAT game) should reach the US eventually (the first game sold very well), so I'm looking forward to those. Cing, the developers of Trace Memory and Hotel Dusk: Room 215 (good adventure game for the DS) is making a new adventure game for the DS, which I'm keeping my eye out for.

I'm looking forward to the following:
Dragon Quest VI
Dragon Quest IX
The Dark Spire
Steal Princess
Knights in the Nightmare
SMT: Devil Survivor
7th Dragon
Shining Force Feather
Lots of RPG goodness just keeps showering down upon the DS.

There's a plethora of new RPGs being released for the DS. It's the new PS1.
