Ghosts N' Demons

Post by Tanooki »

Anyone of you familiar with this? I happened to have this appear on one of those AD things that still slides by adblock pop up probably since it was thrown out as a news bit.

Apparently it's some big time homage to Ghosts n Goblins arcade but adds quite a bit to the formula while still staying pretty true.

You can get the previous release free, but the newest which was a big overhaul (nearly 2 years ago) and bug fix for $4.

Have any of you had any experience with the game?

Here's a clip of it that also has the update notes:

I played it a bit last year. I... Honestly don't even remember what I thought. I guess it didn't grab me at the time.

Ghost N Goblins is one of the few 80s,90s Capcom series I just never cared for. yeah I know I have Maximo games on PS2 but at that time they seemed different enough. Now I don't know why I still have them.

I never could get into the first Maximo, but I thought the sequel was aces.

I'd never really been a huge fan of the series, and that's probably true for the first two, but I think Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts is great. Probably because I put all that time into getting good at it, ha! Just like Contra, I tended to hate a lot of super-difficult games until I beat my head on them for a while.

This game I brought up seems to wanna be GnG, SuperGnG, and some ghouls too. Yet now you have like a stomp move with the jump among a few others to make him less clunky to navigate, yet the monster activity is stepped up to deal with the mobility too.

I'm a huge fan of the series and I didn't know about this. Thanks for showing me!

NO problem. I have not seen you in a long time (NA days) how's it going? Still peddling Japanese goodies?
