Final Fantasy XII Zodiac Age.
I do like this game. Just a lot to like. Vaan sucks still sadly. The one thing I forgot is how much of a grind fest it is. I don't mean for leveling up but getting gil and skill points. Grinding for all three separate is a bit much. Still some nice changes for the HD release. Autosaves constantly. You can speed up battle and dungeons up to 4x. That helps when needing to grind in a dungeon. I am playing it now but mainly because I always try games I just bought but not sure I am ready to commit to a game that seriously requires a time investment right now. If only Wonder Boy would show up. Dunno if it will today or when. For some reason it was in Alaska and last checked at 4 am in Louisville..even tho I'm in Utah...odd.
What are you playing?
Re: What are you playing?
I'm excited to get to Zodiac Age sometime, but I have some bigger priorities with new releases right now. Yakuza 0 and Horizon might be on the plate soon.
Re: What are you playing?
As much as you seem to have liked Rise of the Tomb Raider, you will probably really like HZD.Xeogred wrote: Yakuza 0 and Horizon might be on the plate soon.
Re: What are you playing?
Yup, I was drawing some comparisons while playing Tomb Raider, figured they were kind of the same in ways. I'm glad to hear Horizon is supposedly in the ~30 hour range and not more. The world looks amazing so it'll be interesting to see which one I like more.
I still want to pickup Killzone Shadowfall someday even though it sounds super underwhelming haha. I didn't really love 1-3 either, but they were alright with a cool setting. That's pretty much all I want out of Shadowfall, just more cool sci-fi vibes and atmosphere. Everything I've heard about Horizon sounds like Guerilla finally got some good writing and characters in.

Re: What are you playing?
I've been on an elemental gearbolt kick lately. I played this years back and never got further than the 3rd boss. But today I was playing and got to level 4, beat it after like 5 continues, and then level 5 was significantly easier and I'm about to play level 6 for the first time ever. I don't usually write game reviews but I almost want to write one for this game just to attempt to put into words how amazing it is. But I feel like I'm not worthy until I actually beat it. Haha But long story short, I love this game.
Re: What are you playing?
Not really playing anything currently, just haven't been feeling it (whatever "it" is...).
Games I NEED to play (and have), well, finish anyway:
Breath of the Wild
Xenoblade Chronicles X
Final Fantasy XV
Witcher III

You will be 99 years old to finish all that. Some great games in there.Sano wrote:Not really playing anything currently, just haven't been feeling it (whatever "it" is...).

Re: What are you playing?
Been going through more Gundam Dynasty Warriors. Finished all the campaigns in "Official Mode" (stuff with stories based off of the manga/animes), and now I'm onto "Original Mode," which I guess is an original story for this, but it uses a handful of characters from other spin-off series of Gundam, as well as just about the entire cast from the Official Mode (kind of a, heroes across time unite(?) to stop a common enemy, situation). The BEST part of the Original Mode being that, you ultimate enemy is, what else, a giant Gundam in Samurai armor who uses all sorts of katanas and East Asian weapons (mostly all Japanese, strangely enough, which isn't terribly Dynasty Warriors to me, but perhaps I just can't tell). He's giant and wonderful and I love him X3
Also playin' some more Pokemon Moon again. Was talkin' to my best Pokemon-friend over the weekend and she told me about the champion defense stuff, and I really wanna try that! But she also let it slip that she really wants a shiny Oricorio, so I'm farming millions of eggs to try and hunt one down for her
