Ha, no, I have messed around with a few, but platformers really aren't my thing. Action platformers can be ok, but it's a case by case basis.
As for GoldenEye, that was one of the games I sold and never picked up again because I just wasn't focused on the N64. It may be a mainstay, but I'd also beaten it many times, and it just was not a priority.
How is your N64 gaming going?

I have the gold cart myself and remember having to have that version for some infinite jumping Gameshark code to get a left over heart container that was in the Gerudo area for young Link.
I don't remember blood, but I know about the Fire Temple music being changed at least. Anything else? I wonder if there's a good video out there that breaks all the versions down.
And yeah, at least in the US all versions of Majora's Mask were gold carts. I actually think OoT had a blue cart too, but maybe that was Europe.
Found this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NaEeWMV_f_E
All ports of OoT were the altered version with the chant removed and Gannondorf has green blood. I don't know what specific version number of the game tho.

Yeah that video covers it. tl;dr, the gold cart for the US release is the one you really want.
I was always bummed out Link to the Past didn't have a gold cartridge!

I only skipped through the video, so maybe I missed it, but didn't OoT have a sort of "torture room" in one of the dungeons that was censored in later revisions? I don't think that video is a complete list of things that were censored, just the bigger and more well known ones.
Re: How is your N64 gaming going?
Didn't see that in a video, but yeah you could be right. Who knows. The video covered more of the Islamic issues and some symbols (even on the mirror shield apparently).
Maybe you saw stuff among early OoT screenshots that were never even in the game? Anyone remember the big gold knight? Or the much larger town? Weird old Link with white pants too I think haha.
Hey what the heck, does anyone know what Nintendo Power issue it was that had a huge OoT cover story and a bunch of screenshots that were never in the final game? I don't know about you guys, but I totally bought into the rumors about the Triforce or Gold Tunic being hidden in the game. Glitches were so bizarre back then and we were so young and free from the depths of the internet and social media, our imaginations could fly... lmao.

I've only played through OoT once, but I remember one of the dungeons having a room with blood on the walls and/or floor. The blood was taken out of later versions.

Shadow Temple. Has blood on the walls and then there was some wooden pylons in the shape of a X with a ton of blood at the floor beside them. I'm just so used to it and never played a version without the changes so was a shock to me I accidentally had the copy Nintendo didn't want me to play.
Heh I also have Cruis'n World which has the same exact chant which was later used in a Xbox fighting game on Xbox. I think they all used a stock sample of music.
I think the grey cart with the blood and chants says 41A stamped on the back somewhere.

Pulled out an N64 the night that I posted that, finally got a chance to hook it up last night. Ended up toying around in Space Station Silicon Valley for the most part. Oddly enough, that game hates the ram expansion, and will not run properly with it installed.

I have similar issues with Mischeif Makers. The game runs, but I get incredibly frequent crashes.
Put the jumper pak back in, runs perfectly

I didnt know that was a problem with Mischief Makers. Makes me wonder what other games have these problems.
I am honestly wavering on a N64 HDMI mod and an Everdrive 64 (mostly for Goldeneye X).
