I probably like Circle of the Moon's OST the most, but it could be since that one had a handful of remixes from the classics. Otherwise... I think the GBA sound is terrible. :P

EDIT: It's also worth noting that Sly 3 HD is a bit of a mess. I've encountered several bugs in the snowy China level for whatever reason. It just froze on me. Yesterday the sound was crackling and wouldn't revert, I was worried it was my TV for a second. And the screen looks messed up around the edges during cutscenes in this level. Ugh...

At least Carmelita is fun to play as.

If only Nintendo hadn't used an 8-bit DAC. It can't have saved that much money... Seriously. That one decision put a very hard quality cap on the GBA's output.

Xeogred wrote:I also like Aria quite a bit more than Dawn. Just something about it... Aria was simpler and more fun. I'd put Dawn above Portrait, but Order is by far my favorite one of the DS entries. They finally ditched the stylus gimmicks and the difficulty shot up big time.
I waffle on my favorite between the two "Sorrow" games. They have their ups and downs. I love the Julius Mode in Dawn.

Portrait is probably the weakest of the DS games but it's still not bad by any means. The tag team final boss fight is so cool.

Order of Ecclesia is my favorite as well. It got the difficult right. The art design is great, the protagonist is cool. Everything just hits my sweet spot.

Yeah when your predecessor had better sound quality, you know you messed up.

Yup, the Gameboy and Game Gear sound is so much better and cooler.

Oof, I dunno, I think the Game Gear and SMS soundchips are awful.

I'm not a huge fan of their PSG capabilities, but they're not like putting some weird cap on the quality of the output. You can have a clear tone that isn't artificially limited or filtered. The GBA can play multiple samples, and even process them internally at 16-bit, but when it goes to output them to analog everything is squashed down to 8-bit. That's... that's strange.

Started up Ratchet & Clank PS4 and got about halfway in. My jaw was on the floor the entire time. I don't know how it stacks compared to Horizon, but this is flat out one of the best and coolest looking games I've ever seen in person, even compared to stuff I get on my higher end PC. This game freaking rules. I hope Insomniac still keeps this series going. I'd rather have more R&C than this Spiderman game...
