So, it looks like preorders still aren't ready in the US. I wonder how close retailers are going to cut it to the actual release date. One possibility is that Nintendo isn't able to pin down how many units will be available to which retailers.

Maybe Nintendo isn't allowing them by that method or by request even. Don't let people know so they can't make promises. For all we know they'll blow out like 5+ M of the units vs 2M of the NES and you'll walk in and get one. They really don't as huge of a scalper orgy going on so real buyers get hosed as people after that first will be out for blood.

Thing is, pre-orders are a thing in other regions and countries. Perhaps they expect the US market to be the most volatile.

Busy. I have a lot going on in the real world. It's all good stuff, but it eats up my time, so when I come home, I tend to zone out on a modern game on Steam or watch TV with my girlfriend instead of playing classics. I'll get back to eventually, but I don't know when eventually is.
