Smiles today because my building is letting me make payments to buy this new portable AC. They bought them new to lend to us until the buildings AC was fixed. Well even fixed it sucks bad. So that will solve that.

Pissed off as I tripped over the cord of my fan and slammed my face into the door. Not hurt just almost destroyed the door. Can't pay for that. I wish I could put the fan elsewhere. Never tripped on it til now.

Did a lot of stuff today:

- Applied for a bunch of job offers
- Took German classes

- Read in French. Valerian et Laureine does deserve its reputation, its art is fantastic.
- Finally decided what to write about. I often find myself with 2-3 big, unfinished articles on big topics and I never find them so I'm glad I found something easier to keep writing until I have a clear ideaabout how to tackle the next big topic.
- Started looking for a RPG group.

I did a lot of work today researching the filmography of a famous Italian director and discovering how his films were changed or censored for release both at home and abroad.

Been putting in 10+ hour work days for the last few weeks - even on vacation I was doing 4-6. Dream job fell apart so I am working on getting a different job even if it means less pay.

I email xoticpc about my damaged laptop repair, they hear nothing, and then it shows up like 4 hours or so later. Kind of a douche move not notifying anyone, but that's the icing.

I get it cooled off from the UPS truck, turn it on, and it doesn't even go through the usual Windows startup, it's like at the PC Settings area, and wants activation. Yeah, that went well, clicked...again...again...hex code -- google = Key used too many times (Gee no shit, 3 HDD fails and this time also swapping out the motherboard would do that.)

I find a way to tab off that lockout to kind of use it, then find the damned fingerprint scanner bioexcess isn't working(maybe because of activation or stupidity) and also on my desktop is a folder with various sager 4# versions (like 5 of them) and a load of drivers, another for options, and a generic PDF manual. Almost looks like it wasn't setup entirely.

So I throw firefox on here so I can at least do something with it. Sager I get mad at and called them directly, they open a key real fast and now I sit waiting 2 hours later plus for a stupid new product key with the usual bullshit microsoft hardware limits(really crappy practice) that still hasn't arrived.

I think you can gather I'm pissed and more so by time hour as I'm stuck. (I haven't seen this working since late June.) 3rd failure, all HDDs, in the last year and the last 2 2mo apart too.

So it's been a rough year so far for my family, and it's really starting to put things into perspective for me. My Grandmother had a severe stroke back in February, she is now partially paralyzed. My cousin got into a wreck about two months ago and lost his truck, followed that up with my mom getting into a wreck a few weeks later and losing her car.

Today I find out that my Grandfathers truck got repossessed because he can't afford the notes and he's filing for bankruptcy. My youngest sister moved to Arkansas to continue her education, which means I'll only see her in the holiday season once, and maybe the summertime once.

I'm just over here trying to get my family out of an apartment and into a house, and having a little freak out because it seems that my family is damn near destined to fail. I don't want to fail, I look at my son and I want him to have a nice smooth life without hearing his parents struggle with financial issues. Not insinuating that I'm having financial issues, but it's the thought that scares me.

Edit: Not sure why I'm venting this here, but thanks for listening racketboys and girls.

Dario Argento?
No, though I am a fan... primarily of his earlier stuff. Pretty much stick to Opera and anything before that with him.
