Re: Limited Run
All I did was tip the other dude on getting the game possibly free despite not being physical. Elkin doesn't need to point out the painfully obvious. He came across as patronizing and that's insulting.

So you decided to be incredibly patronising and insulting too? Good plan!Segata wrote:All I did was tip the other dude on getting the game possibly free despite not being physical. Elkin doesn't need to point out the painfully obvious. He came across as patronizing and that's insulting.
I have decided that it was such a good plan that I too will be patronising and insulting in my critique of it!

Re: Limited Run
I mean, it sounded like a pretty missing-the-point suggestion to me. It's like someone saying that they're bummed about not being able to find a record on vinyl and suggesting downloading it on iTunes. Like, if the guy wanted it on vinyl (or, in this case, a PS4 disc), why would downloading it be a good suggestion? It was either already the back-up or not at all what he wanted.

Re: Limited Run
To be fair to Segata, I'd have suggested it, too. I'm all about picking up games in many myriad forms, and if you're in it to experience the game DRM-free, snagging it on GOG is a good thing. I already own it in another form (steelbook through the GameTrust release), but still grabbed a GOG copy.
Now I just want LRG to give the date for Cosmic Star Heroine and Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap. I'm getting really antsy on the former, and GOG is selling it for all of $10 right now.

Re: Limited Run
You can pre-order Wonderboy from Play Asia. Comes out next month. Physical for PS4 English. As fr Cosmic Star..YES! I mainly want it for the CD OST.Sarge wrote:

If anyone is interested. Play Asia is full on LRG's competition now. LRG is still better just because PA has a million delays for the games I did pre order so far this year.

Re: Limited Run
I'm definitely going to jump on that Play-Asia one when preorders open. I normally skip on a lot of Play-Asia's, and I'm skipping this third Special Reserve Games release, but I ALWAYS get Limited Run's stuff. Gotta support those North Carolina businesses!

Re: Limited Run
75 for the special reserve is too high for me. Also having to wait for Shadow Warrior is not helping there cause. Play Asia just notified me that I have the last three limited releases on the way.
LRG is not so limited anymore and I am seeing some games sit as long as overnight before selling out. I have gotten all the PS4 releases so far so hard to stop now. With around 200 games being released by them this month it is getting more difficult to support them lol.

Currently maintaining every Vita release. Hopefully releases slow down after August or it will be hard to continue though.

Re: Limited Run
The Wonder Boy special edition is an awful lot more money for what you get with it. I'll be going for the regular version on that one I think.
I want to get Wonder Boy and Ys when they come out, but most of the releases Limited Run do don't interest me - I like owning physical copies, but I don't like buying games I wouldn't otherwise for the sake of collectability. The only Limited Run game I bought so far was Deemo, although I was sad to have missed Shantae when it was out.
