At the risk of sounding like a broken record, they are a very conservative company, at times to their (and our) detriment. Doesn't mean they're actively trying to take a dump on their customers. I mean, seriously, how much sense does that even make? They want to make money, and they do make money. They've stayed alive through the lean years by not over-extending. Whether anyone likes it or not, Nintendo's been walking a fiscal tightrope because of challenges from all corners for a long time now, and they can't really afford massive blunders. They're fortunate the Switch is doing well, because another Wii U and they're probably going the way of Sega.

The Snes Classic will be worse than the NES Classic when it comes to finding one and will be ridiculously price-hiked by resellers. All for a plug and play emulation box with a limited number of games. The NA design of the Snes looks like puke anyways, EU is the way to go.
