I've clicked on Imgur links from years ago that are still active, NSFW even. I have my own web host, but for BST pics, I use Postimage.org now. Very easy interface and zero issues. (Imgur uses too much scripting that sometimes times out or spits out errors.)

Huh, HGST is generally regarded as a reliable brand. Well, even the best companies ship the occasional dud. Sorry to hear about your troubles, dude. Certainly gone through a lot of HDs myself over the years, but mine had the decency to die well out of warranty.

Well I guess I've been gifted with such things because outside of this problem, and one other self made lemon of a PC 20 years ago where the mobo had a short killing drives and other parts repeatedly I've never had to deal with a HDD going dead so it sucks. With that wash rinse repeat thing though it got me into backups so I don't lose much anymore at least.

I'll take it that as you said HGST is solid, but damn it's annoying to have 3 of them die in a little over a year and the last couple 2 months apart. I don't know the specific model number on it but it's just a 1TB 7200RPM drive.



...and yes I and old style disc. SSDs aren't cheap and when I bought this 11/30/14 the cost was out of my budget unless I dropped the now very useful warranty. If I can determine the machine is in no way at fault and I'm getting crap drives, when that warranty is smoked come December I'll go buy a tiny SSD for Windows and a 1TB HDD for storage/installs (or one of those combo drives that has both.)

I thought Galaxy had cloud too. I guess not all games support it as my Rebel Galaxy save is roasted. I wasn't too far but still pissed, just had rescued Juno and was readying to use the jump gate. Hopefully everspace isn't gone as that game is random in drops which means a lot of work since I had some nice unlocks. Probably should download it just to see if it did or not, but I know it won't run nice at all. Xanadu should be playable but I wasn't into it deep either.

Dude helped MF DOOM start out, Operation DOOMSDAY was recorded in his basement. He founded the Monsta Island Czars MF DOOM released the album Take Me To Your Leader with. He also did an entire Special Blends album over DOOMS beats. If you're into DOOM, you probably know him well.
