Yeah, I have to agree with you. I've been following the Dreamcast's Indie scene for years and absolutely love the amount of energy, love and support that developers like these guys put into the console. We're starting to see more and more ambitious projects on the DC and 3D in particular is quite new for the scene and these guys look like they're doing a great job (I don't know if any people here heard of In The Line of Fire, by the way, but that was another 3D Indie Dreamcast game that was in the works and looked really interesting. The KS failed unfortunately and the team disbanded, cancelling the game. It was a shame, but one of the devs did release a beta/demo last week).Jagosaurus wrote:I respectively disagree with Tanooki above. You're a small team with little budget coding almost 2 decades after support. That's why we've seen so much 2D homebrew/indie. Stepping into 3D is a different world.
I haven't seen a projected relese date. Any general idea. Will there be general copies for sale later or KS pre order only?

And this is how the Limited Edition should end up looking!

Looks interesting. Only now hearing about it. I am just hesitant to spend 70 bucks on a dev I know nothing about. I made the mistake of getting Pier Solar and that game is total trash. I love the passion in these fan games. I think I will have to wait and see on impressions later.

New stage, new enemies (lots of them actually), a huge influence from the Shinobi series (both design and music wise), some nice transparency effects here and there and... Sakura's Realm is here

I understand your concerns. We try to keep a constant, regular presence in both social networks and like a hundred different boards to try compensate that. We make sure everyone who trusted us with their hard-earned money feels confident that we're not going anywhere and that work is going well. Also, we show our progress in real Dreamcast hardware, not some just undefined PC build.
However, as I said, your mistrust is perfectly reasonable. Hope we can change that soon

Thank you for your comment. You have the Regular Edition option for much less than that, tooSegata wrote:Looks interesting. Only now hearing about it. Liking what I see after seeing some vids. I do have to ask. 45 Euro right? So about 50 USD. If I pre order will I be charged right now or when it ships?
Re: Xenocider Kickstarter (new 3D shooter for Dreamcast)
You'll be charged now I'm afraid. It looks like release isn't too far off though.

Re: Xenocider Kickstarter (new 3D shooter for Dreamcast)
Xenocider meeting. A good start, I would say.

Juanjo shows off some really cool equipment none of us understands a word about. He's currently working on the music for the bonus stages.

Chui (Linux), Abel (Windows) and Carlos (Mac). Time for lots of tests, tweaks, arguments, and pizza.

So, while I'm busy with some layout design tests, apparently Abel's phone is warning him to update his watch? What a strange world we live in.

In order to support/fund development and production, all pre-orders are charged upfront :/Segata wrote:Liking what I see after seeing some vids. I do have to ask. 45 Euro right? So about 50 USD. If I pre order will I be charged right now or when it ships?

Quite a long post this time: a report on our recent work weekend, a reminder about the last few shown stages, and a couple new reveals: Shinobi-like bonus stages!
