More than that. He made movie and anime deals before the KS was even done. If he can do that why not find a publisher? Well after he got his 4 million he had the audacity to make another KS for the same game for VA(and the VA sucked hard) THEN after delays he did yet ANOTHER KS for another game and ANOTHER anime for Red Ash when MN9 had yet to be finished. Oh and guess what both the anime and game before the KS was announced already had the funding and publisher! Then he realized oh I never needed KS and got Deep Silver to publish Mn9. Top that off with the whole Dia bullshit. The warning signs were there before when he promised a 3DS game and showed a trailer and images then cancelled it. The ONLY reason the handheld versions and rewards are finally getting done is because of Level-5. Level-5 delivered NOT Comcept. Fangamer has said they been asking for months and Comcept shrugged them off. Fans asked them for months and they shrugged them off.

The game yes was hot garbage and then they tell fans it's better than nothing. Wow what a fuck you to fans. Oh and I was promised a physical copy of the game and when I asked on the KS page why didn't I get my physical copy of the game they told me directly they decided to change the rewards and I will no longer get it. So I personally spent more money to get my copy,I shouldn't have that's my fault but I wanted to play. For people who wanted the digital copy...Comcept sent broken codes.

Had Level-5 not bought them nothing would have ever been solved or finished. This was also a game that was delayed multiple times and even a delay in 2016 a few months then another delay for a couple weeks. What they delay it for? Certainly was not to tidy up anything in game. The bad marketing was on DS so whatever. The game was a mess in every single aspect.

Those are all absolutely valid reasons to be angry at Inafune and Comcept and to not want to deal with them again. I don't think any of your otherwise good reasons for anger, however, rise to the level of him being a con artist who conned the backers on Kickstarter. I can understand feeling that way, however. I can't say that Inafune has done a great job distinguishing his post-Capcom career. Hopefully being a subsidiary of a larger company will help keep their studio on a more even keel. Inafune might just be the kind of creative type who needs a boss.

Not angry. Just the guy is a dick and should not be supported.

If he makes a good game I'll play it, I won't deprive myself of a fun experience because he proved to be a terrible businessman.

In the meanwhile I'll remain cautious about anything he does but I'm not going to complain about finally getting what I paid for. Though to be clear I thank Hino for that, not Inafune.

Well said. We know I don't back KS/begging campaigns online at all, but I had strong interest and hopes in the project too. I thought he screwed with people hardcore for that bucket list of Segata reasons he's a complete ass and it's 100% agreeable.

But I don't think he's a con-man. A moron with money? 100% Should never be a boss of others, let alone near a balance book? 100% again. This merger is perfect. That budget bimbo will have his hands off the wallet and back into being creative at what he does which is where he distinguished his career at the formerly fantastic Capcom. Level5 is a strong and excellent company and his studio and general talent will be a strong asset.

Given the assumptions here it almost surely was part of the deal to make things right on that kickstarter, if for any reason on Level5's part to not sour any buyers and buyers friends from buying their games because of them owning Comcept (guilt by association.) By providing finally the physical media for handhelds and getting out those horribly delayed KS goodies it makes the promises fulfilled.

...as a side note, I wonder if they'd bother with a Switch release. I know it's not Mega Man quality but it still seems sour grapes aside to be a fairly decent title. You could buy far worse for the same or more money.

Maybe you missed the part where they told me I longer get those rewards after I gave them money. No I'm not getting the physical game because for the amount I donated no longer qualifies for the physical version of the game and that already came out..they are not sending me a Wii U copy of the game. It qualified when I donated but 3 years later it didn't.He did con me. He didn't and will not deliver. Again had Level-5 not stepped in the handheld versions and those rewards never EVER would have come out. He totally lied to 70K people and went back on the physical copy of the game I was supposed to get and never will get.

I don't recall them ever offering a physical copy as a reward, just a box in the style of classic games. There was a late-game addon of a USB stick with a PC copy, but they never offered a physical console release as a backer reward.

And that physical box, along with the other high tier physical items, is what's being cleaned up by the latest update.
