I dont know why is everyone saying the Sony conference was bad, was ok by me. Probably everyone was expecting The Last of Us 2: The best game ever that has a sequel and we are all hyped about and want to see anything even if the game is not coming until 2020 or so.
I love spiderman arkham web, it looks great. For a moment i was expecting a sequel to shadow of the colossus but a remake is ok i guess, Japan studio needs to recover some money for sony since the last guardian didnt sell that well probably.
It is just or most of those trailers didnt especify if the game was a multiplat? It seemed like they try it to make you believe "everything is ps4 exclusive" when im sure something like COD will never be a exclusive.
I hear a lot people praising Ubi but that Beyond good and evil 2 leave me with a bad taste on my mouth, the first few seconds were amazing but as the CGI trailer keep rolling i only saw extrange characters, the creator telling me is actually a prequel and the game is not even close to being done since they didnt even show a year and are asking people to "help make the game better". South park looked really cool though.

I was not expecting TLOU2. Esp how TLOU gameplay was trash, mainly dealing with human AI. Some of the worst AI ever. TPS mechanics were mediocre much like Uncharted TPS segments. Not even close to the best game ever. I never got far enough to know the story so maybe the story is great. Gameplay sure isn't and I don't believe a game can be best game when the gameplay isn't good.
I just expected more than more of what they showed last year and hanging bodies. Having Kane's pyro was neat but no Kane..guess he's just too busy running for mayor. VR ports,Cod(because that's a show stopper
) Another Zombie game with gritty realism and edgy MC. Much of the same games shown last year and a remake of a PS2 game that was remastered on PS3 and what we saw...it's the same thing...ok then.
Maybe show some new IPs unless you count that Wii like party game. Talk about stuff coming this year. Sony last few years it just on stage talking about games years off fin the distance. I like seeing a trailer or 2 for a game coming out next year just not most of them.
Nintendo 2010 got it right. Announced a ton of new titles and released that year. It was quite amazing. Kinda sick of scripted western games stage demos and announcing games not releasing for another 2-8 years. (TLG

Its essentially a direct but being treated as a conference. I'm hoping we'll get some new announcements from Nintendo, I want to hear something unexpected in at least one conference.PartridgeSenpai wrote:I didn't even think they were gonna have a press conference. @Damm64,
I wasn't expecting a Trailer or anything for TLOU2, just an offhand mention by the host or some such. Spiderman looks alright, but its not catching my attention by any means. I'm not big on Super Hero stuff, and as someone previously mentioned, city sandboxes bore me.

Story and presentation of TLOU is great. Gameplay is... solid but unspectacular.

Just clarifying. You were being pretty vague.

Yeah those damned touch controls on TLOU really took me out of it, but I managed to pull through and beat it.

Man I remember that Ninja Gaiden game on DS and was so excited. Same with PS. I really liked the DS for RPGs but man so many games were so dumb with touch controls that took me out of it. I needed 3 hands to play Metroid Prime Hunters.Omerta wrote:Yeah those damned touch controls on TLOU really took me out of it, but I managed to pull through and beat it.

This can probably be said of most any Naughty Dog game (at least from PS3 and on).Sarge wrote:Story and presentation of TLOU is great. Gameplay is... solid but unspectacular.
